I have been knee deep in Fallout. Finished it last week and now going through the DLC. I really didn't care for the ending, or the story but the world and environment and just jaw dropping at the amount of detail.
User Bombcast preview- What have you been playing?
Since last weeks bombcast i have completed Pixel Junk Shooter, I have put around 20 hours into demon's souls. Also steam is testing my patience, so much deals......must not purchase them.
Been playing Split/Second with my friends on splitscreen. GREAT game, better than Burnout Paradise imo.
Apart from that BF:BC2- and i've been getting raped.
I've played a bit of Bayonetta, a bit of Batman: Arkham Asylum and spent around 3 hours trying to find the last skull on the map in just cause 2
'Been playing Beyond Good & Evil. I'm really liking that game. The ground-combat was surprisingly smooth but camera can get really funky at times, especially in the hovercraft-thingy. It as aged well, at least so far.
Also bought the Commandos pack on steam. I could really use some hotkeys for that game and the quick load/save doesnt work. It's still fun though, but HARD.
Going over some stuff from the recent Xbox Live summer sale. Castle Crashers, Crystal Defenders and Trials. Crashers is a fun game, but probably infinitely better with co-op
" @FluxWaveZ: really? i was playing deus ex probly 10 days ago and thought it didnt age gracefully at all however i played half life a few months ago and still thought it was one of the best games i played in 09 "Holy hell, yes! I'm absolutely loving this game, actually. I also played and finished Half-Life 1 sometime in 2009 (along with HL2 and the episodes) and loved it as well. Is it the graphics that made it feel dated to you? I've come to learn that I don't care much for graphics at all, which has made me enjoy older games such as Metal Gear Solid and Half-Life all the more.
Batman Arkham Asylum, Assassin' Creed 2 , Zenonia( I consider it a game even though its on the iTouch...), Torchlight, Saints Row 2, and a few others.
I've been putting in time with Risk: Factions on XBLA. My favorite army would be the Communist cats led by Generalissimo Meow. The style in that game is great and the attack animations are pretty slick. Apparently if you roll three 6's you get a special animation of your army totally destroying the enemy forces. Never seen it though, only read about it in the Help & Options section.
I'm also playing The Last Airbender for the Wii because I can have a lot of fun with terrible games, Quick Look style. However, it's seemingly more solid than I anticipated. No idea how long that will last though.
Finished Red Dead Redemption - now going back into some stuff from 2008ish that I never got around to, splitting between Dead Space and the rebooted Prince of Persia - a good combo, I find Dead Space to be sort of stressful, so PoP is a nice low-impact break for me when I can't take scary jumpy space monsters anymore.
Finished Killzone 2 the other day. Hated the last "boss fight" section in the palace.
Making my way through the Autobots campaign on WFC and clocking up hours on my psp with Hexyz Force, Peace Walker and FF9.
Plan on starting Blue Dragon tomorrow *Pick it up on friday for £5 sealed* or going back to Final Fantasy 13.
Right now I'm playing through Assassin's Creed 2. I'm about eight hours in and I'm liking it a lot more than the first game. It feels like the gameplay is a lot more varied this time. I'm also having more fun with the combat, but it's been so long since I played the last one that I don't remember if it's any different. I think I might find a guide and collect all the feathers eventually. That depends on whether or not I get tired of the game by the time I finish the story.
Once I'm finished with Assassin's Creed I'll move on to Bayonetta.
Mass Effect 2 (this time as the girl)
Darksiders (lovingly ripping off the games that I love)
Red Dead Redeemtion (one of the finest games I have played this gen)
and of course... the waiting game. I play this one almost every day.
Other than that, I've been playing a lot of Brutal Legend for some strange reason, and a lot of Red Dead Redemption.

To a few people's chagrin I actually just bought fallout 3 and am starting to play through it, liking it so far.
Single player was alright. I've already beaten it. It runs about one campaign for each faction, usually getting longer as each new army is introduced. I just wish they had some sort of final animated short to close out all the fighting between the five armies. It just kinda ends. But I guess that might imply that war still rages on and there's no clear winner yet. Or something.
I've been playing the hell out of Uplink: Hacker Elite. Bought it on steam, it's actually a very interesting and addicting game.
