I'd go for 4, can probably be found for cheaper too.

Definitely prefer the characters and plot of 4, but Chronicles is still a good game.

Depends on how much time you can sink. P4 will give you the most time, while VC will give you around 20 hours (or at least thats how long it was for me). Both great games either way.

@John_Lawlz: Oh man, seriously, you literally can't go wrong with either of them. Flip a coin. Spin a bottle. Russian Roulette it. Just make sure down the line you play the one you don't get first and don't miss out on either one!

(And also, I personally am 39 hours into Valkyria Chronicles and haven't finished it yet, so I wouldn't worry about time-to-dollar problems, you'll get loads out of both!)
