I'd try to video chat, but I don't own a webcam, and my microphone has some issues I don't know how to fix.

Nope, I haven't tried video chat even though I have a cam and mic. I prefer just audio chatting using stuff like Skype or Ventrillo.

I do not. Mostly because I don't have anyone to chat with. I used to video chat with some people on PSN but don't anymore.

No. Phone calls or regular messenger chats work fine for me and I don't see the point in video chats. I'm still after that copy of Temple of Elemental Evil.

I did once when I was a kid, but not since. Never really knew someone to talk to like that, so I never did.

No I don't, but I appreciate that video phone calls are a completely commonplace thing now. One step closer to those flying cars.

I'm torn. I don't want to bankrupt AW by making him buy two games for people in two days, but I also sort of want ToEE still. Aw, that dude will get over it, gimme gimme.

no, i don't. i want want to see the person's face when talking to them. i just need audio to listen to the person talking.

I don't video chat with friends, because I prefer meeting up with them. But I use Team speak when we play games.  
 
Far Cry 2

I chat with people way far away from me  like my family and friends that stay in country/ go way abroad.
 For example last christmas we had big party over skype.

Used to do it a lot, but almost not at all in the last two years... Might be to lack of privacy in new, extremely small apartment. Plus, a lot of people I used to video chat with now lives within spitting distance, so!

I've never actually video chat with anyone online. Most of my chatting is text based.

Nope. I don't think I've ever actually owned a camera for my computer before. Hell, I don't think I've even ever owned any kind of microphone for my computer before either. I never really had a reason to when I had the money to buy either, and now I still don't have a lot of reasons to and don't really have the money for either of them either.

I dont video chat, the people I would be interested in seeing while talking to them are all within reach, so I just see them in person.

Sometimes, but people in competitive games are very often acting like assholes. Even when you think they're friendly, they'll turn into an asshole as soon as they see they're loosing. So I try not to.

I do, but mostly with my family overseas. Almost all of my family live in Iran, so the only way to get to see them, is by video chatting.

Nope. The vast majority of chatting I do online is done during work hours and is more passive. Someone writes something and a response might be immediate or come 30 minutes later depending on what each person is doing and how busy they are.

I don't normally video chat-mainly because my camera fell from my monitor and it's a task to pick it back up and put it in the right place. I do chat on Skype though.
