This song still gives me chills.

Favorite music? Really? That's ridiculously difficult. There are more than a few game soundtracks that I like. Well, to fit in with the whole TOEE blogging hulabaloo I've started, I guess I'll post this little sucker. Yes to atmospheric techno.

And there are probably someotheronestoo. I guess I could use a copy of Half Life 2 to grace my steam library, considering that I am not one of the 3 people on this site who uses OnLive.

I like the last boss music for Persona 4 cuz it ends up in a glorious remix of the random battle theme that makes you feel you're so powerful as to treat that boss as a random encounter. I'd like... Wait, you dont have that DBZ game no more? BG 2 I suppose.

I'm in love with this from Borderlands. It got a bit repetitive towards the end of the game after you had heard it a million or so times, but after finishing Borderlands it has become one of the few video game songs to be in my music library.

I'd like Baldurs Gate 2 on GOG please!

My favorite changes often, but right now it's "Mother, I'm Here" from Bastion.

There's a lot of game music that I love, but the one song that still gives me chills is the music from the end of Mass Effect 1. The slow crescendo of piano into strings is so incredibly powerful. At the time I played the game, they hadn't announced a sequel, so I had no idea how it would end. So the first time I beat the game, this song (and the accompanying cutscene) literally had me standing up and cheering. Man, now I've got myself so worked up that I kind of want to drop everything and play through the game again.

Baldurs Gate 2 sounds pretty cool to me! Thanks, Vito!

Before Halo. In past long obscured by the mists of time when the hallowed name of Bungie is only whispered upon the lips of the many acolytes of PC and Mac.

The last video is somewhat spoilerish as it is a narrated epilogue of Myth 2: Soulblighter but it is old so do give it a listen.. In essence it conveys much of what I love about it, the deep connection with the normal soldiers who waged war on the side of Good.

In the spirit of awesome dark fantasy, put me up for Baldur's Gate 2 please!

Without a doubt To Zanarkand from FFX. It's so simple, but perfect. No other song can hit my nostalgia point quite like this can.

The first time I saw this opening my kid eyes gleamed in awe, still my favorite FF game to date.

I'd like the Frozen Synapse bundle if I win.

I can't think of my favorite of all time, but when Link and Shiek play Bolero of Fire is up there.

I'm still going for The Humble Indie Bundle #2.

Right now, it's probably I'll Face Myself from Persona 4. Though I don't recommend reading those comments if you don't want spoilers...didn't find any immediately, but I imagine they're there. A lot of emotional impact when I hear this track, or any of its variations. Also has a lot of mixed emotions inherent in its composition. We'll see how long it remains that strong with me.

Secondary contender is the licensed track Downstream from Braid. Too gorgeous to not mention, the way this meshes with the first time you see Braid really going in full gear is AMAZING.

EDIT: Oh, right. Put me down for Half-Life 2.

I rarely pay much attention to video game music but I remember a lot of the Chrono Trigger soundtrack.

This song is just so exciting to me, there are other much better pieces of music out there for games; scores and pieces of music that capture emotions of the moment so well. But this track right here was just plain fun that I could shoot bandits to.

Max Payne's theme is certainly there on the top for me. That opening theme from Silent Hill also gives me chills every time.

As for the game, I'd go for Baldur's Gate 2.

This isn't in the game but it was the trailer that made the game! Flock of seaguls - Run in Grand theft auto Vice city. Then maybe persona 3 start window music. I cant even remember how many times i would save then quit that game but forget to turn off the tv as fall asleep listening to that song.. Baulders Gate
