I don't know weather i should get viva or spore it seems like such a hard decision they both look like a good game can anybody help =(
Viva Pinata or Spore?
It's not really a bad game, but it was severely dumbed down from what it was supposed to be originally. It also limits you a lot on how you can use the product, thanks to the DRM.
Viva Pinata is a kids game, really, but you could probably find it used already and it'd be mint condition, so you should go with that.
"Neither, buy Crackdown again. Even if you already have a copy. You liked Crackdown, Jayge? That's a game I would never recommend.
Seriously.
Get Viva Pintata though. Nobody here is going to recommend Spore."

"Sir_Ragnarok said:CRACKDOWN RULES. the story is the worst thing ever but i spend HOURS just jumping around rooftops, jumping off the agency building, jumping off ramps in the SUV, trying to create the worlds largest pile of burnt cars, trying to create such a huge explosion it freezes the game, getting full wanted with shai gen and agency, waiting for them to cluster together, and FIRE THOSE ROCKETS for an aerobatic corpse display. and collecting secret tokens and just enjoyijng the nighttime atmosphere. crackdown is just so effing great."Jayge said:The best pure-fun sandbox there is.""Neither, buy Crackdown again. No more about Crackdown."Sir_Ragnarok said:CRACKDOWN RULES. the story is the worst thing ever but i spend HOURS just jumping around rooftops, jumping off the agency building, jumping off ramps in the SUV, trying to create the worlds largest pile of burnt cars, trying to create such a huge explosion it freezes the game, getting full wanted with shai gen and agency, waiting for them to cluster together, and FIRE THOSE ROCKETS for an aerobatic corpse display. and collecting secret tokens and just enjoyijng the nighttime atmosphere. crackdown is just so effing great.""Jayge said:The best pure-fun sandbox there is.""Neither, buy Crackdown again. The game is full of resource micro-management that you have to constantly stay on top of if you want to get anything done. It may not be the most hardcore game ever but no way could it be played to its fullest by the demographic the cartoon aims at.
Spore and Viva are polar opposites. Spore aims at the 'hardcore' and offers a casual experience, Viva aims at the casual and offers something far more detailed.
"Jayge said:Content for everybody doesn't mean it's not designated for one age group in particular. It's like children's cartoons that throw in perverted jokes for the adults without disrupting the cartoon itself.

viva pinata isn 't for kiddies just because it is a colourful and non violent game (although your pinatas can get eaten) it is actually a laid back and relaxing games with no real objective or anything just do what you want in your own way. i loved it until my file got corrupted and i got mad and never played it again
Viva Piñata is a safe bet, and you can find it cheap. I have not played the sequel yet, but I would go for that one over the first. Your enjoyment from Spore will depend on how much you enjoy messing around with the creator. You can design creatures for each time period, buildings, and vehicles (land, water, air, and space). The gameplay is overly simple, but then again so is VP's.
I recommend just watching gameplay footage of both to see if one (or even both) look too boring for you.
