How to begin? Well, first let me start by saying that i really like WOTR. It has crazy amounts of customization of period weapons and armour, an interesting take on hand to hand fighting, and large mass melees are just always great.
This however all pales in comparison to what my main takeaway from the beta has been so far. WOTR has without a shadow of doubt in my mind, the absolute, worst, most bitchy player base i've ever seen in a game. Nothing is balanced, Spears are op, Cavalry is op, Crossbows are op, two handed swords are for spammers, archery is too hard, you guys are all faggots for teaming up on me, the complaints are endless and pointless, and i've seen all of these particular complaints a multitude of times in several different servers from several different people. After hitting a player three times in a row with arrows he decided that i must in fact be using aimbot, and also probably wanted to suck another mans dick.
This is the oddest problem i've ever had with a game. i want to play more of WOTR, i think the game is really fun and unique. But being in the game for more that a few minutes just kinda bums me out. Im just wondering if anyone else feels the same way.
