I'm just wondering if there is a website I can go to where I can find out what old games are worth today. Something like the old black book for cars that says if it's X model, with X features, and is X number of years old it's worth this much money, but also considers the collectible side of things.
My last resort is to look up on e-bay and see what the going rate is, but any other suggestions would be great.
What are my old games worth?
Probably $0.50 to $5.00 at Gamestop. Unless you have something really rare (Ico) or popular (Pokemon).
You could also try your hand at Amazon or Ebay. Prices vary greatly however.
The memories you have with them are worth far more than any money you'll get. You might as well just hang onto them, or find someone you could give them to if you're sure you don't want them anymore.
neo-geo.com has a good price guide for AES and MVS carts, those can be worth serious money, other than that i'm afraid ebay is your best bet!
Well I'm not looking to sell them, I'm going to be keeping them for quite a long time. And if I'm willing to pay 30 bucks for a Super Mario All Stars cart, without the box, then I'm sure someone else out there would as well. No, this is more because I'm thinking of insuring this, and I'd like to know for how much. It also gives me an excuse to go through it all and actually make a list of what I have. And above all curiosity.
And you never know, if I ever have kids someday, I'll be able to start them off with what I started with.
