I originally joined because I liked Quests, Achievement tracking, the Wiki and list stuff that sort of thing. Otherwise i would continue lurking and watching videos like I had for years previously

That's basically why I'm still here as well.

I would really have to say I am here for an escape. I got into gaming at a relatively late point of my life, and I found video games to be both fun and diverting. From there I became aware of Videogame sites, and finally this one. Typically, I look at the News first thing in the morning, and then run right over here, as almost a reaction. There are other sites on the internet that give me information and subjects of interest (Porn...lol but I avoid that). But GB does really well on it's own right, kind of a world in it's own.

And my interest in video games continues.

1/ If you want to listen to people talk about specific topics that you ARE interested in, may I suggest that the Giant Bombcast not be the only podcast you listen to. Wanna listen to opinions about movies like Batman VS Superman? They are plenty of movie podcasts.

2/ Considering the amount of games they play, I think the Giant Bomb crew don't have the free time to watch movies/ TV shows. Even Alex doesn't talk about movies/ TV all that much because of all these games coming to Steam and whatnot.

3/ The older you get, the less inclined you are to be opinionated about everything.

I do appreciate a video game website talking about thing other than video games. I agree with Jeff. They shouldn't have to waste time talking about things they have no interest in or what is popular at the moment. That is a reason why ESPN sucks as an example. ESPN has to fill up air time with useless drivel to stay relevant.

I am here because there is nowhere for me to go and 1UP became extinct.

I miss quests and achievement tracking. Achievement tracking was actually one of the biggest reasons why I played such a wide variety of games for the longest time. It led me to over 100k gamerscore. Quests were also fun, and I did a decent amount of wiki work.

Nowadays, I don't care about the wiki nearly as much. The tools have long been outdated and underwhelming to me, and there's just not that many games which I'm super interested in making a wiki for.

The Endurance run. But really I want them to talk about whatever the fuck they want. I hope that includes more than just video games and often it does. My only minor criticism about GB is the lack of staff on any of the forums, granted @rorie is fucking amazing about this and @alex literally commented in this thread so its not really a gripe. I feel like most of the staff ignores the forums
