Honestly depends on the genre of the game I am playing. Overall though, I guess the 360 controller.

I'd say the Wii Mote if the Zapper wasn't so awkwardly arranged, so I'll just say the 360 controller, like everybody else. PS2 is a tie.

360 for me too. This is the system I play so I use it the most. The PS3 one probably feels better in the hands of a PS3 owner.

PS2 for me, multiple things about the 360 that i just don't feel fully comfortable with. And i don't like the L2/R2 buttons on the ps3 controllers.

PS3 feels right to me. I don't like the different levels the analog sticks are on with the 360.

Years ago, when the first Xbox came out, I would have said that the PS2 controller was the biz. Now, I'd have to say the 360's has superseded the Playstation offering.

If I could use the 360 controller on my PS3 I would be quite happy. For me its the decider between which console I get the game for I just find the 360 controller is simply better.

Edit: If I could have the 360 controller with a Nintendo style D-pad to replace the 360 one that would be my idea of the perfect controller atm.

PS2 controllers are my what feel best to me. I don't like the 360 controllers at all, too bulky.

The 360 just fits in my hand more naturally.  The PS3 is fine but not as good.

The 360 controller feels the best to me.  The original Xbox controller was far too big and the Playstation controllers feel too small.

I used to love the PS controllers, but after playing 360, I don't know how I ever dealt with L1/L2 and R1/R2.  LOL

Regardless, the PS controllers still have the superior D-pad.

Of all? The N64 controller.

The 360 controllers. I also loved my really small Madcatz controller for the original Xbox.

But for certain games, Mouse and Keyboard (RTS, few others like Torchlight or Half Life 2).

360 - I can't stand the position of the sticks on the PS3, its just uncomfortable sticking my thumbs out to the side to play a game.

Been playing console games since the NES, and the 360 is definitely my favorite controller.  The D-pad sucks, but I rarely play games that "need" it (fighters, 2D platformers).  The Dualshock 3 is a close second though, having a way better D-pad but being marred by its triggers and smaller size (cramps my hands if I play way too long).

PS3 mainly because I've never played with a 360 controller which apparently is amazing.

The gamecube controller was hands down the most comfortable to use for me. Perhaps the N64 controller was more comfortable, but of course it isn't really capable of handling modern games.

You shouldn't have put the Xbox and Xbox 360 controllers together. I don't like the original xbox controller better than a dualshock. But I do like the 360 controller the best.

some of those 3rd party controllers for the ps3 and 360

especially a Mad Catz 360 controller with a better D-pad and these nice triggers that stick out alot.

always had an affinity for the Gamecube controller for some reason.  Just always felt right.  Looking at it now tho...it actually kinda resembles a 360 controller...where the sticks and buttons.  I even kinda like how the buttons are different sizes.

SNES. Almost all modern controllers owe themselves to that core design.

As much as the Playstation controller just seems better and more ergonomic, it hurts my pinkies and makes them go numb after an hour+ of play. So I'd have to give it to the 360, which hasn't made my hands hurt or numb even after LONG gaming sessions (5+ hours).
