I'm torn between the two games. I wanted to play one of them, but I'm undecided.

Wanna help?

Never played Planescape:  Torment.  But Final Fantasy VI is my favorite Final Fantasy title.  It easily has the best cast, the most intricate world, and one of the best villains in the history of all video games.

Planescape is the first of those kinds of games I've ever played, so much like people who started on Oblivion, I kind of give the game more credit than it deserves just because a bunch of common PC game tropes were first exposed to me through it. I overlooked bad combat and graphics that were amazing for the time, but you really can't go back to it. FF6 had really good pacing, and if modern SE ever wanted to re-remember how to pace a game they could trying playing it sometime.

I haven't played Planescape. I'm worried that I wouldn't appreciate it as much as I should. I haven't finished Baldur's Gate either. I do really like Final Fantasy VI. It's my favorite of the series, but once again, I haven't finished it. I don't finish many games.

Planescape: Torment.  If video games were ever made into works of literature, this would be first in line.

Final Fantasy VI was the last FF game I've played. I loved it. Never played Planescape but have heard nothing but good things about it.

I voted for Planescape because it sounded like it was underrepresented. Now the poll is split 50/50.

I have never liked Final Fantasy so I guess I'm not very objective. But Planescape is one of the best games I ever played. The story and characters are amazing, and you really feel like you're making your own story. Also, it's Black Isle...what more do you need to know?

Hard to make an accurate vote for me considering I have yet to play Torment. I'll get around to it hopefully this year with it being on GOG. Though I do really enjoy FF VI. Just not sure if that Final Fantasy is my favorite when compared to FF IV, but that's for another topic.

Planetscape Torment has the best writing/story in any rpg ever. So I would put it over any RPG not named Deus Ex.

Really sad more people don't make an original character/story like Torment had.

Planescape is one of the few in a handful of RPG's with non-embarrassing  story-telling.

But, sadly, its just not a very good game. Its kind of shitty in a lot of pretty key areas.

Those key areas being: controls, battle system, dungeon design ETC.

Can't say I've played much Planescape, to be honest. I know it's a great game, but if I have to choose only from the amount of time I spent on the game, FFVI gets my vote.

... this is Terra's FFVI we're talk 'bout, right?

Both games are great. Final Fantasy VI has a great cast of characters and each does something different which is great. But as I've gotten older, the story to Planescape: Torment is quite possibly the greatest videogame story ever. So, I vote Planescape.

I don't really care for Planescape too much, so I'll recommend Final Fantasy, Square never let me down before.

You should. People say great things about the game. ^^

Thanks everyone for your opinion! I think I'll play Planescape Torment.

I'd say FFVI because it is easily the best FF game, and last good one tbh.
