It's so hot outside that I can bearly sleep. If I'm lucky I get 5 hours of bad sleep, or I might just wake up after 2 hours, so I end up wasting valuable days of my summer. Maybe my newly bought fan will help, otherwise I will just have to tough it out. So, what do you do when you can't sleep, and how do you fight the heat?
What do you do no nights you can't sleep, Agent York?
my house has no air conditioning and my fan is utter crap but when I can't sleep I just walk around my house or watch youtube videos on my laptop
Put a fan near your bed. Wear loose clothing such as shorts--hell, if you don't give a fuck then just wear nothing but boxers. Also, drink some freezing cold water. Placing a wet towel on your forehead may help.
Right now in Texas the heat is treacherous. Triple digit weather in the day, 90-ish weather during the night.
It's all about the other side of the pillow. That and melatonin supplements helps a lot when I can't sleep.
Masturbate like a furious tiger, gotta strengthen my sweet iron grip. Nah i just lay in bed with my ipod touch under my pillow and listen to podcasts until i crash and burn.
Read. Seeing as it's summer I tend to be going to bed at times where I'll immediately go to sleep, but during the school week, I read. Admittedly that can be a bit tough if you don't enjoy reading, or you don't have anything you actually want to read. Personally I have plenty of books to read so it's always an option for me to do, and then there is a local library as well meaning I have a potentially infinite assortment of books to choose from. At the moment I'm reading a book by Gerald Seymour from the library, though I have a lot of books of my own I need to read. If I have something good to read I tend to be able to just sit and read until I feel tired, rather than letting something like the heat dictate when I'm able to sleep.
Reading really helps if I'm having trouble falling asleep, but extreme heat always makes sleeping difficult.
Getting rid of any extra sheets or blankets is my first move when things are uncomfortably warm, but that's a pretty obvious fix. Do you have any windows you could open to help catch cooler air into your room?
Sleep naked, have sex/masturbate, cool (not ice cold) shower followed by fan, wet cloths or ice packs, read, watch nature docos.
I've been reading for most of the night this summer. Usually don't have much problem due to it being 3am when I go to bed most of the time.
Usually read, or I'll watch movies until the early hours of the morning. I find that I fall asleep easier (since I don't hear anyone else in the house) while listening to music/podcasts/comedy shows/rain, so I've always got my earphones in.
