I have started to listen to the podcast three moves ahead. I am wondering what gaming podcasts you listen to.
What Game podcast do you listen to ?
I listen to the Bombcast, No More Whoppers (A kind of off-topic type of podcast that has some relation to games!), the Gameinformer Show, 1up.com's Games Dammit Podcast, and I think that is it! I listen to a lot of stuff as you can see!
On very rare occasion, I'll listen to The Game Station Podcast (TGS). But I only do that like once every 3 months or so. :P
CAGcast - Cheap ass gamer- They're funny. Probably my favorite
Podcast Beyond - For Greg Miller who is always entertaining
Rebel.FM - They're not funny or entertaining but I enjoy the talks.

None, really, because I really don't know how to listen to a podcast.
But you know how to post on these forums? Sometimes you make me very suspicious of the authenticity of your monarchy.

These tasks aren't necessarily related. In fact, they're not related on any level.
I listen to RebelFM, Weekend Confirmed, Retronauts, and Bombcast mainly. I miss 1up Yours...that was like a Friday ritual.

Yeah, but listening to a podcast isn't particularly hard. Play a simple game that you don't need to hear, put on your headphones, and listen away.
On topic, the Bombcast is it. That's pretty much the only one I want to listen to, I don't want to hear a bunch of others.

I've thought of something like that, but it usually doesn't work. I end up more focused on the game than the podcast, so I feel like I'm just wasting the latter.
LaserTime is the shit!! Seriously, check that show out. The most underrated podcast in the world, probably the universe too.
The masterful Idle Thumbs (C.Remo & Crew), Rebel FM (Gies & Gallegos have awesome chemistry but Tyler, grow some hair on your balls PLEASE), the old TalkRadar was excellent as well. Sometimes the misunderstood brilliance of Sterling's/Holmes Podtoid. Got tired of Weekend Confirmed. It's like they're trying WAY too hard to be "cool" and "saavy" but they end up sounding like a creepy gang of pedo/uncles. And everytime they have that Andrea chick who laughed/agreed about everything. Garnett plugging his GF's game, come on...ARRRGHHH Shoot me please!
Not a games podcast per se but I also enjoy the Joe Rogan show, Bryan Callen Show, Ice House Chronicles and some more. Fucking awesome.

Just a quick question: Is it a game you've played before? Is it something that requires a lot of reading? I usually play Borderlands, which requires almost no reading.

That happens to me too actually. Even when playing games I'm used to. My perfectionist nature just concentrates on the details of the game too much. Podcasts work best for me not doing anything computer-related.
But on topic, mostly the bombcast, very rarely roguelike radio.
@believer258:
Actually, it was just browsing the Internet, although at the moment, I don't exactly have a ton of games that could fulfill the requirement. Assassin's Creed: Revelations probably requires too much attention (at least from the first few missions I've played), and Final Fantasy XIII-2 is....well, an RPG. Not sure how well that'd work.
Not a fan of listening to dudes sitting around mics talking about whatever, podcasts are boring mang.
Used to listen to a crazy amount, talkradar being a favourite
Giantbomb, 8-4 and indle thumbs are the only ones i enjoy now. Besties is good if you don't give a crap about the games there talking about.
every other one has somebody with an abrasive personality
Lets see I listen to:
8-4 Play, GeeksOn, IGN Game Scoop, IGN Podcast Beyond, JoyStiq, and sometimes Weekend Confirmed. I have totally given up on most other shows because they stink most weeks.
From time to time I try to check in on Irrational Podcasts (Irrational games), and I try to keep up with news of other developer podcasts. You have to be careful with developer of publisher podcats, hye so often blow smoke or are just so wrapped up in their game that you become disappointed when the game stinks or you can tell the development was terrible. The Zipper Interactive (Zipline) podcast was a joke, about two months before launch they started getting cagey yet they kept podcasting despite being SUPER BUSY. Then --poof-- after launch they just stopped podcasting. Even after the launch when their community managers should have been settled...no more events...no more working with media... they would not come back to podcast.
I listen to every episode of:
- Giant Bombcast
- Player One Podcast
- 8-4 Play
- Rooster Teeth Podcast
I only listen to these podcasts when they talk about something I'm interested in, or have (or don't have) certain people on:
- Weekend Confirmed (I only listen to this if certain people whom I won't name aren't on)
- RebelFM
