What games do you think will be part of the launch lineup for PS5 and the next Xbox?

The next generation of consoles will be out in roughly one year. What games do you think will be part of the launch lineup for the PlayStation 5 and the next Xbox. Based on the information we have today the Xbox One and X will play most if not all of the next gen Xbox games in the first year. The PlayStation 5 will also be backwards compatible but I think the system will have exclusives on day one. I also think a major selling point of the next gen systems will be load times and graphics because of so few exclusives within the first year.

This is my guess and i'm probably 95% incorrect but still. Just wondering what everyone else was thinking.

Maybe a new inFamous would be nice although they are working on that Ghosts of Tsushima game so I think that will take it's place.

Man I still think that inFamous Second Son was such a great showcase for the PS4 as an early title. It had great graphics, a solid framerate, and used all sorts of tricks for the PS4 controller that no one ever bothered with again.

A launch game that did something similar would be very welcome.

Has a GTA game ever launched with a console? While I would love for it to be true, I’d be shocked if there was a new one by holiday 2020.

Outside of Ratchet and Clank, I don’t know if there are any exclusives I care about anymore.

Meh, there are too many games coming out in 2020 to really say. Likely the best guess for launch games are Triple-A effort games for that last machines that can be ported. Anything that isn't a port, is just a wild ass guess based on wishes and whisker on kittens.


So my wild ass guess that is just a hope and a prayer is Cyberpunk 2077. That would be a nice launch game....but I doubt it will be one.

You can count Destiny 3 out and just throw in Destiny 2, Bungie already said they will be working on Destiny 2 for another 5 years. I'm 99% sure Horizon 2 will be one. Assassin's Creed for sure as well. Some Insomniac game, maybe another Spider-man? I would really like a new Infamous, but I'm thinking Ghost of Tsushima will be a cross gen thing. I also highly doubt a Knack 3 lol. I think they finally learned from that mistake.

Don't count Xbox out with nothing exclusive either, remember they have 10 or so exclusive studios now. Definitely expect some new exclusive games from those devs.

On a more serious note, i was sort of expecting Housemarquee to do one of their arcade titles again given that Super Stardust HD & Resogun probably benefitted quite a bit from being on the new Sony platforms before the floodgates opened up completely. But then i remembered their 'arcade is dead' blog in which they stated that they would try their hand at other games instead. Apparently they're releasing a Battle Royale game named Stormdivers? Wouldn't surprise me to see that on the new console as well.
