My favorite houses are the ones in Battlefield Hardline Episode 10 and the one in Episode 7. I know they are not very practical but they look really good.

I liked franklins place in gta5. It was spacious enough, had a pool, and a decent view to boot! But I don’t want to live in California as the cost of living isn’t worth it to me. So if I could place that house in my current state a la sims franchise I would do that
Luigi's Mansion with the caveat that I have a proton pack so I can be a Ghostbuster.
Honestly, luxury estates bore me. I'd rather live in a confusing mess of corridors like the Spenser Mansion because then it'd be a unique video gamey experience.
It would be fun to own the Playboy Mansion, not for the obvious reasons. I'd have it to myself and every time a horny celebrity would appear to ask "this the house with the sexy ladiesss?!" it would just be me in my underwear yelling "Nope!" and closing the door.
Anyway, I like that house in Monster Hunter World if we're talking fantasy. I also love the idea of that universe and just how psyched everyone is to hunt, cook and fight and so on. The whole place is this weird cheery violent mess of a community and I love it.
Some great answers here. Luigi's Mansion and Kat's little nest, definitely good shouts.
I loved a bunch in Fable 2, but Fairfax Castle stuck with me; what's that beautiful little house in FF7, with the flowers everywhere? I think it's Aeris' house. Yeah, it definitely is, I just found a song I made that was inspired by the image: I called it "Aeris' House."
Hollow Bastion from KH has been my ultimate fantasy home since I was fourteen, however. Gothic designs are my thing, but the steam punky mechanisms with the church organ pipes motif (which is also elaborately layered over the cloud-grey stone of the castle) is a sight to behold.

I'm with you there. I would love to have a bunch of doors that can only be unlocked via keys engraved with shields and eagles or whatever.

Don't forget the Crimson Heads.

I could do without those. They always scared the shit outta me.
Cauldron Lake Lodge (I think it's called) from Alan Wake comes first to mind. There are actually a couple of houses in Alan Wake I wouldn't mind living in.
The house from beyond good and evil for me. Talking pig and a dock in the basement, what else to you need?
The house from Gone Home cause it's huge without being mansion sized and has those cool secret passages. Maybe I'd like the Edith Finch house in that case actually? I never played it so I don't have the same affinity for it as Gone Home, having played through that 3 times.
FF VI airship. I always liked to imagine the crew doing sitcom-ish stuff inside while I was flying aimlessly.
Nate's beach house from the end of Uncharted 4 is gorgeous! Waking up everyday to a beautiful view of the beach is my dream! I just love the aesthetic of the house and how much natural light there is. Exploring the house at the end is my favorite part of Uncharted 4, no joke. Whenever I wind up living in my house, I will definitely look at this house for inspiration.
It has already been mentioned, but... The house of Edith Fynch.
I know, It's weird, cramped and totally unpractical, but it feels like a whole family lived there, you know?
I don't know, I like spaces that look lived in.
Other than that.... I must agree that that uncharted 4 house looks absolutely dope!
@cubidog: Hah, Nate's house just dawned on me and the next scroll down was your post. Even his home at the start is nice, but I'd probably go with the beach one.
It's not the most fantastical but it's the coziest video game house I can think of. The Edith Finch one is more my vibe but from the little I know about that game, I dunno, that house seems kinda dangerous lol. But odd homes like that or Howl's Castle I fuckin love.
The place I built out in Fallout 4 is like a big weird houseboat with towers and such sitting atop that gas station where you get the dog. Walled in and with a bullet factory beneath it of course.
