Okay, so I know it took Canada a while to get their independence from Great Britain, but isn't it still considered a common wealth today? Isn't that why the Queen of England is on Canadian money? If it is still a common wealth, what role does that play in Canadian politics? If someone could explain to me what the ties are between the two nations it would be greatly appreciated.

I believe it is still a commonwealth. And if I recall correctly being a commonwealth doesn't effect politics all that much (besides the whole monarchy thing,) and really only makes it so immigration is easier between the commonwealths.
Also, shouldn't you know this, as you're Wolverine, THE Canadian superhero?
