My blogs, really :P.
What is your favorite part of Giant Bomb?
Video features rule by far, bombcast is a close second!
I LOVE MAILBOX VIDEOS! I plan on sending a bunch of boxes in a larger box so that they spend an hour opening boxes and looking at stuff.
The bombcast. But I enjoy almost all of the stuff on the site. Mostly cause of the staff. They're dapper motherfuckers
I put the bombcast.
Interestingly enough though, I have been coming to this site since April (first time introduced to the podcast) and while fooling around with the quests, blog, profiles, forums and reviews I really have not fully explored the real content of giantbomb only until recently. I do not think it's the website's design fault, I mean there are tabs clearly located with "Videos", I think it's just more of me being lazy.
I mean this is just crazy funny, legendary and whatever epic words you could use to describe it.
I voted for the P4 ER, though I also enjoy the Bombcast.
If there had been one option for all video features in general, might have just gone with that.
I selected Quick Looks as my favorite, but in reality I enjoy all of Giant Bomb's original video content to a significant degree. I think it all brings a lot to the site, as well as to the gaming enthusiasm as a profession. The close-and-personal stuff with the goings-on at the Whiskey Media offices help bring the staff down to a very personal level for their audience, and Quick Looks, Endurance Runs, and whatever else they produce these days help to entertain while also doing a great deal to inform.
My second most favorite feature within Giant Bomb is the editorial reviews. As an aspiring gaming journalist (I know; who doesn't want to write about games for a living these days?) it's always a pleasure to take in Ryan, Jeff, and Brad's independent and unique critical voices on everything they play. It's unfortunate that there haven't been nearly as many reviews on the site lately. The summer gaming drought doesn't do nearly as much to impede my actual gaming as it does to crush my professional interests here.
On the flip-side I have a couple of complaints with th website. The first is the general design; it lacks style and needs a serious update. I can't criticize just one aspect of how it looks. There are a lot of problems and they need to be addressed sometime soon. Second, the Wiki is a total mess on a vast number of the pages. I think 1000 points is a little too low to allow Wiki edits to go unmoderated, and maybe that particular unlock should be ratcheted up to around 3000.
My third and final complaint is the "news." In the past Giant Bomb reported on stuff that matters to the four (five?) of them. Now we've got some dudes regurgitating the same articles that myself and everyone else intimate enough with the medium to be reading this stuff already gets from Kotaku, or preferably Joystiq. I'm not sure about everyone else, but I generally disregard most of what Brad Nicholson and Matt Kessler contribute to the site. All it really does is mask the content that Jeff, Brad, and Ryan churn out themselves and makes it more difficult to find.
Wow, news is 0%. Dunno if thats down to the popularity of everything else or that Brad Nicholson isn't very popular.
Bombcast, Persona 4, and Quick Looks all tie. I hope they do the next Endurance Run soon, it would be awesome if they were serious about the Marvel Ultimate Alliance one.
