What size is my av supposed to be & how do I change it?

I think it's 75x75 but I don't know how to change the dang thing!

EDIT: Ok, I got it... kind of. Can I set my profile image & my avatar to diff/ pics? & why can't I upload a 75x75 pic if that's how big the avs are?
