What SNES games should I get.
Ok, so I made the decision to get a SNES from a place I go to for 40 bucks. ( I cant find it cheaper) and im need some games. The place has Link to the past for 15, Doom for over 10, Star Fox for like 8, Super Starwars for like 5, Supermario world for 15, Turtles in time for 20, and tahts all I can remember off the top of my head. Im not sure If I would be able to find these games for cheaper on EBAY or not, Turtles in time is usualy pretty high. Which of these should I get? Anything else?
Im also trying to track down Earthworm Jim, and that Adventures of Batman and Robin game they made after the cartoon. Also, Aladdin. They also had Killer Instinct and I believe Mega Man X.
Oh, and I forgot im getting Tetris, Ken Griffy Jr baseball, and Mario allstars from my freind.
" @Video_Game_King said:I think Super Star Wars is a decent game as well." Star Wars, Zelda, and TMNT. There's your starter pack. "i approve "
Any of the Nintendo franchises will be worth getting if you can - Mario Kart, F-Zero, Donkey Kong Country, Kirby, Pilotwings, Metroid and StarFox.
FF3/6, Secret of mana, Castlevania IV. Sure someone will post a massive list.
Also, are they selling the games with booklets and boxes? A few bucks is alright, but can't hurt to research it online. As a game collector, I don't advise buying a SNES to actually use. If you want to play games, just download the ROMs for a emulator. They will be much more stable.
Also keep in mind, the consoles age. Are you buying it from a well established video game company? Like EBgames, GS, so on. Little corner shops aren't likely to sell quality stuff and even less likely to offer refunds. I wouldn't buy a SNES with out testing it out or getting a refund option. Like, 30 days to return. That thing may have been sold and resold a dozen times.
Depending on the game title, it may run the gambit on price. HQ games like Zelda, Metroid, Mario can be sold online for a lot. If in good working quality they are worth it. Even with out the booklets and boxes. But with, that can sometimes be hard to find. I wouldn't sell mine for a few bucks. Not even sole cartridges. Those booklets can be hard to come by.
But I'm from the future a know the value of these early electronic stories. Metroid 87 was just released and Mario for NES is worth more then Action comics 1.
I would buy all of those except Super Star Wars and Doom. Star Wars is decent but Empire and Jedi are better. Doom on PC or Xbox 360 are better than the SNES one because they have better multiplayer.
I'd also get:
Super Mario All-Stars
Super Mario Kart
Yoshi's Island
Super Metroid
Mega Man X
Donkey Kong Country
Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo
Mortal Kombat 2
Most of the games are without boxes and booklets. I know the guy pretty well, and hell let me test it out before I buy it. and hes pretty cool about if it dosent work, hell let me exchange it for something else. he has Link to the past for 15 I believe, Mario world fo 15, and Metroid for about the same I believe, without booklets and box. He may have Link in box, but itll cost about 20 to get it boxed probaly.
My issue is most of the games you guys are listing are gonna be like 15 or upwards of 50 bucks. I dont have that much money.
Supermario, Turtles in timeAre definently my two favorite from that list. I would try to get a balance of what rocked on the SNES. Platformers, Beat 'Em Ups, and Fighting Games (something else too?). The racing games, that I have, for example just don't 'work well.'
My problem is, I dont use EBAY, I dont even have a Credit card. So im not srue if these guys are charging to much for there games or not. Im pretty much at there mercy because there the only guys I know who sell these old games. Its not like I can go to a Gamestop.
I checked EBAY:
1. cant use it, dont have credit card or account.
2. Theyre not much cheaper than what these guys are asking for (if at all) , plus I have to take shipping into consideration.
