I'm sure a lot of people have video game related ringtones as I have heard a lot myself, which ones do you guys have, especially if you have any obscure or odd ones? I personally have the ChuChu Rocket! multiplayer theme as it's crazy frantic and makes it seem like I should answer my phone although I usually don't.
What video game related phone ringtone do you have?
Not video game related but I'm currently using the intro music for The Boondocks as my ringtone, I'm not a big fan of hip-hop but I love the intro" Claptrap from Borderlands going "Ooh, check me out, unce unce unce unce unce unce unce, check me out I'm dancing, I'm dancing!".
But I recently changed it to the end credits music from The Boondocks "
" I have the MGS codec noise. Not particularly original, but pretty awesome. "This at some point.
im not that fond of video game music
my ringtones are usually guitar solos from my favorite metal songs
Mine are from Mega Man 10. For the ringtone, I have part of Nitro Man's theme, and for the message tone I have Wily stage 3.
Can't go wrong with the MMII title screen music, either.
I too once had the MGS codec for text messages, it then changed to the "Credit" sound from the original Galaga coin-op (it's currently the "shwing!" noise from Simply Irresistible). My picture/voicemail tone is the chest open music from the Zelda series. I also have a friend who loves Sonic 3, so the I hear the Carnival stage music when she calls.
Then I break the pattern completely when people call me and they have to listen to Spanish Flea. =P
not game related but I use the bass line from Roundabout- Yes.
also WTF is up with ITunes ringtone system, have to pay $1 to make a song I already purchased into a ringtone.
I have several MGS and Duke Nukem related things on my phone, but for the last several years I have just stuck with the gunshot sound from the MGS menus. Its a nice punchy text message sound that I will usually hear. But it does have a dark side...
I interned for a while at the now defunct "Doha Centre for Media Freedom." this was spearheaded by the fairly important frencch journalist Robert Menard. He was out out of country, and it didn't matter much to me because he didn't speak any english. However, while he is a good humored fellow, he is at his core a fairly serious person and certainly not the type to know what Metal Gear Solid is. So, the first day that we were both in the office I was briefly introduced to him (which essentially meant shake hands, Bonjour) and that was that. However, about an hour later I was standing next to my "boss" having a conversation when I received a text message. I must admit that I was slightly startled by this, as happens once in a while, but I did not immediately realize that Robert was right behind me. When I turned around there was a look on his face as if he was not entirely sure what he had just heard or where it had come from. I pulled out my phone and all was returned to normal, but I always wonder what went through his mind when he heard it.
ahem.

I'm using Still Alive by Lisa Miskovsky, better know as the theme to Mirror's Edge. You can get it off the website, or at least you could a few months ago.
I would love to get some sound clips from Portal to use as text sounds though. It would be the happiest/most-homicidal phone around. :)

The song that plays when you enter an arena in the Mad Moxxi DLC for Borderlands. That beat is kick-in.
I have the No More Heroes Beam Katana recharge as my text sound, and I've been looking for some good game music. I just haven't decided on any.

I don't have this, but I would love to have the music from Snafu on my phone. Best game soundtrack of all time
I have the original Bionic commando theme tune for my ringtone, nothing fancy for text messages though.
I have quite a few.
I too have the Codec ringer, but for instant messages. I also have the Sonic ring sound for texts, Overpass from Gitaroo Man, the Silver Samurai tune from the Phoenix Wright games, Ken's stage music from SSF2:HD, and the theme from the Final Zone in the original Sonic the Hedgehog
I like making ringtones
Flash Man's theme from MM2. (Actually I have a lot of MM2 music)
Brash from Lumines
Cornered from Phoenix Wright
Theme of Pandora's Box (Second Professor Layton Game)
and my last one was the Boss theme from Case Zero.
Everytime I get a text, it sounds like I am being spotted in a Metal Gear game, and I love the hell out of it.
