If you like the kind of game it is, World in Conflict is excellent. Worst game purchase for me has to be Ghost Recon 2 for PS2... I was so disappointed after all the hours of fun me and my friend had playing the first one.
I didn't buy it, only downloaded a free trial, but Archlord was utter tosh. Some of the worst movement and graphics I'd seen in a game at that time. After trying, frantically, to come to terms with this waste of bandwith, I cleared it from my hard drive, thank God.
The biggest waste of hard, hot cash, however, was probably the LOTR Online Limited Edition box-set. Hoping it would cure my MMO fatigue after a two-year bout of World of Warcraft, it ended up putting a stake - albeit a very pretty one - through the heart of my massively-multiplayer compulsions. The box now serves as a good measurement of dust levels in my bedroom.

I bought Superman 64. It's one of the few Nintendo 64 games I still own. I only got past the first part once after trying many times, and I got no farther. Even as a child, I knew that game was absolute trash.
I also bought the limited edition of Auto Assault. Not one of the worst games I bought, but one of the worst investments. At the most, that game had like 100 players on my server.
Hm, hard question. Like someone earlier in the thread said, Krusty's fun house. That game was an absolute nightmare, I hated it so damn much that I tried to finish it just so I would never have to play it again, but I just couldn't. Dumb game.

So YOUR the sole person who actually bought that game... lol =P. Must admit... I never played this... but by god was it the biggest pile of spanners I've ever seen.
Yep, I've seen that, and the game looks unplayable. I have no idea what they were thinking with the whole "Superman spends all day flying through hoops" thing. But thankfully I've never played it myself. It's best to leave the AVGN to play the awful games. hehe.
