What's your E3 game of the show?

Mine is Halo 4, I am a Halo fan boy but I am still picky about my games, and I was super sceptical about this game's existence, well, I was blown away, it looked beautiful. Next would would be The Last of Us, then Mario for the Wii U, and that cell phone one by Ubisoft? I forget its name, there are a lot to choose from and it is to simply very hard round down.

There were a fair few amazing games this year, and I was happy to see some original IPs, but some of the sequels were looking simply amazing too, Halo 4, Luigi's Mansion 2, Assassins creed 3 (Now with ships), Hitman, Rayman Legends, Far Cry 3, Dead Space 3, all the Mario games, the list really goes on though.

So what did you guys think? What was your game of show?

Dishonored. It just got me more excited for the game and I think it will be the sleeper hit of the year. My top 5 Games of E3 2012 are:

1. Dishonored
2. Last of Us
3. Watch Dogs
4. Metal Gear Rising: Revengerance? (still don't know how to spell a fake word)
5. Lego City Underground

Watchdogs stole the damn show.

The Last of Us, I guess? Nothing really blew me away.

I really wish Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle was there.

Watch Dogs was a complete and pleasant surprise. That would be my choice followed by SimCity and I guess New Super Mario Bros. Wii U.

Last of Us, definitely. Runner-ups are Tomb Raider and Watch Dogs.

Definitely, came out of nowhere and blew me away. I just hope it can live up to my already high expectations.

i gotta go the easy route and say last of us... but beyond, watch dogs, and zombiU get honorable mentions.

I would say Watch_Dogs, but I really need to see more of that game to get an understanding of what it's all about.

Watch_Dogs and Star Wars 1313. Haven't seen much with that 1313 demo other than praise for the graphics, but I'm glad my PC is gonna get worked. Also I'm pretty chipper about how it's not another game focusing on the Jedi.

The Last of Us for sure , Assassin's Creed 3 looks good too Dead or Alive 5 looks like fun and I haven't seen much of Metal Gear Rising : Revengance or Dishonored to say one way or another but yeah the highlight and my most anticipated game is The Last of Us just can't wait for it.

I doubt that had anything to do with it.

Last of Us, Watch Dogs, Dishonored, and AC3 were the four games that got me really excited this year. Not sure which one is my game of show, though. Probably Last of Us, with the rest tailing right behind.

Halo 4 and Watch Dogs tied for me. Assassin's Creed 3, Dishonored, Borderlands 2 and The Last Of Us are close up. Also had increased interest for Sim City, NFS, Hitman, Far Cry 3 and Black Ops 2.

I haven't seen squat of Company of Heroes 2 though, which makes me sad, as that would have been tied with Halo 4 and Watch Dogs for sure.

It was a very sarcastic one, but yes, it was a joke poking fun at middle America.

If you want to know why Nintendo didn't feature it at the press conferences, Nintendo was likely holding the announcement back for some future event in order to control the message. This is the same company, after all, that revealed the Wii version of Punch-Out!! and Sin & Punishment: Star Successor at a press event that they held in an October, if I recall correctly. Reggie accidentally let slip that Fire Emblem is coming to America, but it was an announcement that was more than likely made as a slip of the tongue or in a moment of fatigue because no one at the show was obviously prepared to make the formal announcement. Within minutes after Reggie's words sent Twitter into an uproar, NOA posted their own tweet to confirm that it's coming, because frankly, the cat was let out of the bag and there was no getting it back in. But that's all we know for now and there's no way to tell when Nintendo will be prepared to provide more formal information.

All of this being said, I found the manner of the reveal utterly hilarious and am ecstatic that the game will be released in North America. And because the announcement was technically made at E3, I'll consider it my game of the show.

Yea, that was pretty much my reaction, too. I imagine when Reggie found out who sent the tweet that Fire Emblem was coming to America, something like this went down shortly after.

This video totally sold me on The Last of Us being my personal game-of-show

AC3, Watch Dogs, Tomb Raider, The Last of Us, Star Wars 1313, Dishonored.

In no particular order. Although to be fair this show was really mediocre.

Watch Dog and The Last of Us both look really interesting and you have to salute new IPs this late in the cycle from developers with big established franchises.

If Beyond becomes a better, more functional Heavy Rain i will be very pleased. Also the the premise of the story looks more interesting to me.

Star Wars 1313 really does sound like Uncharted: Star Wars edition and i'm perfectly fine with that. Plus it does look mostly like stuff from the old trilogy which is a big plus.

I was impressed with the Halo 4 demo. I've never been a big fan of the series before, having played the first one on PC, skipped 2, 3 and ODST and having completed Reach only once but if i still had a 360 it would be on my buying list.

Actually, it was likely sent with Reggie's authorization, as in, "Oops, I totally spilled the beans. You'd better tweet something about the release before we have a Twitter firestorm."

My game of show is Nintendo tanking. Nothing is more hilarious than listening to the industry try to spin that train wreck from a negative to a positive.

Nothing really looks all that intriguing to me. No game seems legit until the actual review these days. Games by Quantic Dream would have caught my interest at one point until David Cage sold out to Sony and cut off millions of gamers.

Disregarding my intense love of all things Persona 4 and limiting myself to a new game and not a remake, I think I'll go with Halo 4. It just looks flat out amazing.
