It looks like most people put their acknowledgements sections at the very bottom of their game guides.  I think it's better to put them up front, just under the introduction section.  What say the community?

You could do both if you want, although the general consensus when it comes to guides is to put them at the bottom (or at least, that's how it's been in most of the guides I've read).

Normally they go at the bottom, like credits to a movie.

Well, if I was looking for help on a game and I loaded up a guide only to be hit with a face full of thank yous instead of a face full of info about the game and the guide, I'd probably look for a different guide.

So my vote is bottom!

My vote is don't put them in there at all if you're just gonna thank all of the guide's GB contributors (which I've seen happening already). It's a bit redundant.

But if you actually want to thank outside contributors or list your sources, then yes, put them at the bottom.

I've always thought the bottom is a much nicer looking choice.

In general, I find the "Thank You" section very informal and not really helpful to other people reading it. Unless it is a dedication to one person, it usually goes on the bottom. It is a guide being written, not a "shout out," and I wouldn't want the guide to turn into a mutual back patting society or a "look who I know" brag page.
