Where's the discussion on religion?

I like to begin with:

I don't think Giant bomb needs another religion thread, Game websites of any kind don't need one either. 

Use the Off Topic forum.  Maybe this and the health care thread will motivate someone to stick "Game" between General and Discussion in the forum name, finally.

These threads always lead to bad things.  Very bad things.  Very very bad things.

Too many conflicting opinions on a very personal topic.

Religion topics don't tend to go hand-and-hand with people on internet forums.

Religion is not something to be fought over, especially not here.
Horrible, Horrible things ensue.
Take your religious flame-war elsewhere.

First off the arguments that go on about religion and about different reilgions will never reach a conclusion other that anger. Second, the internet (at least in text form) is not a good place to debate things, especially in the english language. There are to many variables in the way you say a sentence that can change the meaning of a sentence. Someone please lock this topic.

Here is the thing.
 
No side every wins.
 
No side is ever going to say "WOW I ACCEPT JESUS NOW!" or "WOW GOD DOESN'T EXIST!"

Because ultimately no one has proof for anything and it comes down to your own personal decision and no one is going to change it
in a forum discussion.
 
So let's keep it out of GiantBomb and make it not a community of RAGING.

As one who is in the midst of writing a term paper for theology, religion is potentially the last thing I want to encounter on a website powered by booze and pancakes.

 i dont want to talk about religion.i respect every religion.even though i dont hate others religion people.

If you want to talk about a more specific aspect of religion, go ahead, you're more than welcome start a topic on it. But creating a topic that basically says "YO DUDES - RELIGION!!!!!!" and then includes a joke image doesn't promote healthy discussion on the subject.
