Which developer would make the best Smash Bros-esque game?

Or possibly publishers with access to multiple IPs.

What would be some of the character lineup?

I'll start with Ubisoft:

• Prince of Persia (Sands of Time Trilogy) - Free-form combat, able to climb around more easily
• Prince (Prince of Persia 2008) - Badass claw thing
• Ezio - Stealth killing
• Altair and Desmond - Unlocked by playing as Ezio for a while
• Rayman
• Rabbids - Three of them, controlled Ice Climbers style.
• From Dust villagers - With perhaps some help from the elements
• Agent 47 - Can steal the identities of others (a more serious Kirby perhaps?)
• Sam Fisher - Blends into background
• Jade (Beyond Good and Evil) - I don't know... Photo... things...
• Dude from XIII - Opportunity for cel shading
• And, just to mix things up, Shaun White.

I'd say Capcom, but they already have a big scale crossover thats far better than Smash Bros.

Konami would be a reasonable choice. Metal Gear, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Conta, DDR, Silent Hill, Suikoden, etc...

I agree. They made a new kind of fighting game and I dont think any dev can do it as well as they can.

Yeah that would be nice. Like if we could see some sort of versus game.

Warner Brothers could probably do something sweet with DC comics stuff, hell even Batman alone. And if NeatherRealm ever wanted an MK break...

WB kind of already did that with MK vs DC

Bioware. They already make everything.

I think any publisher could do it, considering Capcom somehow scraped the barrel enough to make a Viewtiful Joe fighting game.
