So now that E3's come and gone and we're about halfway through this year, what games are you guys picking up during what's left?
For me personally, I already have a list:
What about the rest of you?
Unless its system requirements are insane and/or I haven't built a new computer by that point, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus tops my list of "games to get this year". I'm also almost certainly going to get Metroid: Samus Returns and Super Mario Odyssey, though in the case of Mario Odyssey I'll actually probably wind up playing it on my brother's Switch instead of buying a Switch myself this year (unless Xenoblade 2 comes out this year). Destiny 2 on PC as a "probably" rounds out that list, though like Wolfenstein II, it depends on how well my aging PC holds up.
@mems1224: I never thought I'd see the day where someone said they would "maybe" get Battlefront 2.
Mario Odyssey and Cuphead are definite 100% yes. Both games look fantastic and it would take some pretty serious warnings to drive me off.
Splatoon 2 is also a very strong probable. I never got to play the first one and was intrigued.
The Remastered Crash Trilogy will also be mine. Other than that...It's really going to be review dependent. That Mario Rabbids game went from a "NEVER!" to a "If reviews are good" during E3. I'm intrigued but not yet sold. I liked Battlefront 1 so will probably get 2, but I need to see exactly what's in the package. I don't want just a rehash of 1, which was a bit shallow.
Shadow of Mordor 2 looks good but I never played 1 so I may wait until that until I get through the first one.
Sonic Mania is a "wait for reviews" game for me.
There's a lot of stuff out there that I'm interested in, but not a lot that has me salivating. That's fine though. I still have plenty of games from the first half of the year that I really want to play so I'm good. I'll pick the cream of the crop up as it releases and then go back for some of the other stuff when it's on sale.
Shadow of War for sure.
Wolfenstein depending on how The New Order goes. I'm playing through The Old Blood right now and it's okay. The one that get's the praise is TNO, so I'm not too down on it all just yet. I know it'd nag at me if I ignored The Old Blood though.
Oh and Destiny 2 also for sure.
@superfly3760: Didn't most people think Battlefront was pretty meh?
Etrian Odyssey 5 and Yakuza Kiwami for sure.
Possibly Dragon's Dogma PS4, .hack//G.U. Last Recode, Ni no Kuni 2, Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth, Wolfenstein: The New Colossus. Shadow of War and Destiny 2 are a "someday, probably", but I doubt they'll be day 1 with so much coming out. There's probably stuff I'm forgetting too, as it seems like something new is announced every week.
I don't own a Switch yet, so games like Mario and Rabbids that would probably be on that list are not a consideration.

I thought the first game was pretty awful
Definitely:
Maybe:
Splatoon 2
Mario Odyssey
Mario & Rabbids
Shadow of War (though I owe it to myself to beat Shadow of Mordor first I think)
Destiny 2 (though I wasn't huge on Destiny 1, but I have a friend who's into it and it may make for some good co-op)
... and that's about all I can think of? Maybe Battlefront 2 if it turns out to be a more complete package than the 1st.
Still working on stuff from the first half of the year, but this second half is looking mighty fine.
Battletech
Mario & Rabbids
Mario Odyssey
Splatoon 2
Wolfenstein 2
Cuphead
Gran Turismo Sport (If I have enough $)
I really enjoyed Shadow of Mordor, but am not really interested in the sequel for some reason. As a fan of those first 3 Assassins Creed titles, Origins has peaked my interest, but not enough to steal from my dwindling reserve of time & money.
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is the only upcoming game this year I definitely 100% plan of playing.
There is something strongly appealing about having a well made linear FPS campaign to play through and I want to see where that story goes.
Mario Odyssey looks great but I don't plan on buying a Switch for a while as I'm holding out for a possible hardware update.
Dishonored: Death of the Outsider is the only other close to definite game for me.
Probably just Destiny 2 unless I see something and say "Oh yeah. I remember that game. It looks pretty cool" and add it to my Steam wishlist.
Definitely:
Probably:
Maybe:
Some of the biggest things is catching up on stuff like Nier and Nioh though.
Here's my list of games that I'm looking forward to releasing in the later half of this year. Whether of not I'll play them this year is another thing entirely.
I don't own a Switch atm so games such as Mario Odyssey and Mario + Rabbids aren't on the cards right now.
Honestly? Just Etrian Odyssey V and Pyre. Maybe Vampyr. There's a bunch of other stuff I would like to play coming out, but none of which I feel the need to be at or even close to launch/full price. Those two, maybe three, games and my backlog will more than suffice.
I'm about a year behind on big games usually so probably just Dishonored 2, NieR: Automata, and Outlast 2. Honestly, I haven't had a "I need to get this!" game for quite a while, the last one for me was MGS5 and that game was a huge bummer. Maybe Metro: Exodus while be the next big game for me since I love the hell out of that series.
Definitely: Forza 7, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds
Probably: Wolfenstein II
Maybe: Battlefront II, Tacoma, NFS: Payback, CoD: WWII, Crackdown 3
For new releases probably just Pokemon Ultra Sun, Lady Layton & Final Fantasy XII Zodiac Age
There are others coming out I want but I almost certainly wont be getting them this year - like the Crash N'Sane trilogy, Dragon's Dogma PS4, Vampyr, Elex, Demons Age, Battlefront 2, Ni No Kuni 2, Mario Odyssey & Mario + Rabbids
PUBG, Destiny, and Dragon's Dogma for Xbox One. Battlefront and Wolfenstein probably, although that's a lotta shooters.
Crackdown 3 is on radar but it's got a lot to prove for me still.
Also, Total War Warhammer is like 60% off right now on Steam, so that'll be the first next game of 2017.
