Clerks 2 was a snoozefest, I'd have to say Waiting.
Which movie is better: Waiting or Clerks 2?
Clerks 2 by a mile! Waiting wasn't funny, just crass and vulgar for the sake of being crass and vulgar. Clerks 2 was...dare I say it...sentimental. Then again, I came from the alternative crowd of the original, so it's got a deeper meaning to me than many others on these forums.
" I go with clerks. i mean honestly? Would you fuck me? i'd fuck me! "I'd fuck me haaard.

"Its really a film for 30something men who thought they would be further ahead than they are. Basically all 30something men. I can see a younger person thinking they would like this movie and leaving dissapointed because, frankly, its not their movie.

I saw it out of nostalgia for the first one (I first saw it when I was twelve years old). It would probably be for my parents if they weren't super Christian." Clerks 2 by a mile! " @jakob187 said:Well, kind of...yeah. For me, I grew up at the height of alternative music. I was encompassed by that whole thing - grunge, geek rock, flannel, torn jeans, etc. Therefore, I understood Clerks in a way that I've found a LOT of people don't. It was the movie for slackers. Clerks 2 was the movie for slackers who can't be slackers anymore because this thing called "life" keeps inconveniencing them. LOL There's a lot in that flick which I can relate to as well. It's definitely a flick where the late 20s - early 30s crowd will totally understand it beyond the dick and fart jokes. I got goosebumps at the jail scene when Randall was yelling at Dante, solely because I've had that argument and seen that argument happen - the idea that your friends aren't going to be around forever, and the fear of actually growing up." People can talk all the shit they want about Kevin Smith and his movies...but many people just don't get it. Clerks 2 was a great movie. I mean, there's a reason it got a 10 minute standing ovation at its premiere in Cannes.
