Which Side Are You On: Nolan North vs Troy Baker
This week, I learned that the beloved and incredible Nolan North is, in fact, NOT the voice of The Boss voice #1 in Saints Row: The Third. This was saddening at first, but it quickly turned into anger and rage when I learned that Troy Baker was also the lead character in The Last of Us.
What is happening in the world?! Who is this cheap impostor coming into the voice acting realm and trying to move in on greatness?
Therefore, it's time that we draw the line in the sand!
IT'S TIME TO TAKE SIDES!
Which one do you fall on: Troy Baker...or the only obvious and right choice, Nolan M. North (the M stands for Motherfucking, obviously)?
***UPDATE***
The one they call Nolan North has spoken to me directly, asking for an end to the civil war and wanting peace. So sayeth the Nolan, so sayeth the...Nolan.

I'll keep my male voice-crush with Robin Atkin Downes, tank ya very mooch.
EDIT: Though I am known to dally with Brian Bloom sometimes, too.

David Hayter.
And that's the thread!
Nolan North FOREVER!
Though I have nothing against Mr. Baker. He's just not Nolan North, aka the best voice actor since Mel Blanc.

Troy Baker, because he can take on all kinds of roles. Most anime fans will know him more.
North is just typecast as the average, sarcastic dude. Only his role as the Penguin was interesting.
Yeeeeeeah, his roles as the Portal cores and Sigmund from a Crack in Time are so generic and uninteresting. ; )
I like Troy Baker but Nolan North is the greatest video game voice actor of all time, in my opinion.

Perhaps you should look over his character sheet again. Nolan's voiced quite a few non-Nolan North esque roles. While I don't doubt Troy's versatility, either, I believe Nolan still has more overall range. There's a great clip that runs through a lot of his archetypal voices in fact, that I'm hoping someone else will be able to back up with the link since I can't find it X_X

Goddamn Persona 4 favoritism...
A mere MAN voiced Kanji...
A GOD voiced an entire game!
He totally voices like 80% of the general civilian population in Stilwater for Saints Row 2, as well. TWO Cities, that we know of, have been dominated thus far.

WHAT WHAT WHAT?
To be fair, getting him to play Dr. Tomoki was probably the only good part of Ape Escape 3's terrible localization.

@jakob187: I pick both sides. Therefore, we must hug and fight!
I will not parley with a filthy Baker-blood!
Well then I'm voting for Troy Baker!

Troy Baker is the fucking MAN.
he is also sexier than North, so there.
Tis isn't gay! Tis normal to think a man sexy!
I think they are two of the most talented voice actors in video games right now. On average I think Nolan North is a better voice actor and in better games, while Troy Baker has some really amazing high points in Kanji, Vincent, and Two Face. I take them on a role by role basis mostly.
Finally some love for Downes. I'd love to see him in a lead role again, I don't think he had one since Prince of Persia Warrior Within.I'll keep my male voice-crush with Robin Atkin Downes, tank ya very mooch.

Baker.
I'm just not at the point where I recognize North's voice in games at all. Baker's usually stands out in the sense of me saying "I don't know who it is, but that's familiar." The female equivalent is Laura Bailey because she uses the same voice in everything and it stands out. For those few who don't know who she is... Rise.
