Most every console has representatives or faces essentially. What do you think represents your favorite console? And then who's the character who you think just shouldn't be mentioned.
For the 360:
Honorable Mention- the character that doens't represent, but is just too cool to leave off:
And the guy who shouldn't be mentioned:
Yea. you have a good game but you're the epitome of the badass with forced lines. You are what people stereotype the MC to be.
You shouldn't force yourself to be a badass.
Personally, I can't see realistic people being a face in general. It's just weird.
Who represents each console?
You actually think that Banjo and Kazooie represent the Xbox 360? Seriously? Or were you saying that Banjo and Kazooie should not be mentioned? If the latter, well...
Obviously!
Well apparently it's now Sackboy for the PS3. Then of course Mario for Nintendo. Sonic for SEGA.
Who do you reckon Capcom's is? I know it was Captain Commando but we've not heard from him for a while. I suppose Capcom is Ryu but it could easly be many others.

I've always seen Solid Snake as Sony's representative.
You obviously don't know how to pick which games represent what system, not to mention the fact that you (not surprisingly) didn't mention any console besides the 360.
It would be Halo 3, Gears, Mass Effect, Fable 2 for the 360. Ratchet, MGS4, Uncharted, LBP, Resistance for the PS3. ...and the usual for Wii.
EDIT: And if you just want one character for each console it would be MC for X360, Sackboy for PS3, and Mario for Wii. Nothing too shocking there.

I'd agree that Halo 3 & Gears represent the Xbox 360, but not Mass Effect or Fable II. First of all, I don't like Halo 3, but Master Chief is such a recognized figure and probably the most popular. Halo: Combat Evolved also "launched" the Xbox to what it has become today. I love Mass Effect, but not enough people have played it for it to really represent the console. The same goes for Fable II and add to that the negative feelings a lot of people hold towards Molyneux. As for PS3, I pretty much agree with that. We'll see how Killzone 2 turns out.

Obviously!"
Banjo has to represent a console. Simply, he does.
And since I've been playing Nuts and Bolts quite a bit recently, I'd put it on the 360.
Banjo feels like an xbox series now, somehow.
What's so different between this and Gears? They've only made 2 gears games and marcus has like no dialogue.
He's a sort of instant console definer. I don't know how else to put it. Pick up the game. It's loads of fun.
Basically, Banjo has so much character. And obviously I mean Banjo and Kazooie when I say that.
* Because seriously now. If Microsoft made their own version of Super Smash Bros. what characters would you say first? I'd say Masterchief, Banjo, Conker, Ninja Gaiden, etc.. I wouldn't come close to mentioning Marcus.
It's not games tha tdefine it. It's the actual characters

How can Mass Effect represent anything when that's a game? Typically lifeless create-a-character characters don't deifne a console.
And Nathan Hale? I you shitting me?
"Well actually, yes.Oh yea...he does? Then I guess he represents the N64, case closed. There is this new console that just came out called DAF (stands for Dumb Ass Fanboy) ...I think you may be a good candidate to represent that console.
Banjo has to represent a console. Simply, he does."
Wow, I feel sick looking at what you are, apparently from your posts, forcing down upon the Xbox 360 as the characters who "represent" it. Bullshit, give me Gordan Freeman. Master Chief is lame, Banjo is old, Ryu is not that kind of character, and Marcus Fenix is a maybe. Even if Freeman is from a multi-platform game, it's still better than any of those characters.
XBOX 360 : Marcus Fenix
PS3 : Solid snake
Wii : mario SmugDarkLoser said:

And whether anyone likes it, Xbox gets Marcus and Master Cheif. I really don't know anything else that's on there.
"Well actually, yes.If anything he would represent the N64.
Banjo has to represent a console. Simply, he does"
If they were still good games, I'd say Crash Bandicoot and Spyro would've been representitives of the PS3.
I mean the main mascot figures, not necessarily defining it.
Like the 360 doesn't neccessarily have to be an online shooter.
THe wii can actually be from a game.

"Master Chief is the character that most associate the 360 with."I think the Chief is a better fit for the original Xbox, if mascots could only be associated with one console like Kush is suggesting.
Microsoft has Master Chief and Marcus Pheonix
Nintendo Has Mario, Link, Samus, Kirby, Ness, Ice Climbers, Mr. Game and Watch, Picachu, Donky Kong, and Yoshi
Sony has Kratos, Sack Boy, Ratchet, Clank, Sly Cooper, Jak and Daxter
Sega has Sonic, NiGHTS, Amigo, Ulala, Jet, and Alex Kidd
Konami has Snake and Frogger
Capcom has Ryu and Megaman
Square has Cloud, Sora, and Sepoith
EA has John Madden
Activision Blizzard has Guitar Hero people, COD soldiers, Tony Hawk, Crash, Spyro, Orcs, Elves, Terran, Protoss, Zerg, Barbarian, Archer, Druid, and Diablo
There's the main selection
"Well apparently it's now Sackboy for the PS3. Then of course Mario for Nintendo. Sonic for SEGA.Dood, Capcom is EASY:

I think Master Chief os more connected to the original 360. Marcus is much more of a face to 360.
And I guess everyone else has already nailed it down, Snake for the Ps3 and Mario for the Wii. Though maybe Nathan Drake could be used for the ps3, Sony used him a lot as a image, didn't it?
It is weird people are saying Snake represents the PS3 when he's a 3rd party character and is also on the Wii... Brawl, anyone?
Banjo is also a bad choice because of his Nintendo roots.
Master Chief is the obvious 360 choice and Mario still reigns over Nintendo. I'd probably choose Ratchet & Clank as the PS3 reps... Sackboy is still too new and LBP hasn't completely taken off just yet. Come back in a month or so and I'll rethink Sackboy's place with Sony.
I think right now, it stands something like this:
Xbox 360 - Marcus Fenix
PS3 - Sackboy
Wii - Ravi Drums
How in the HELL does Banjo represent the 360? Something is wrong with you. Get a grip son, Rare have a LOT to live up to if they want one of N64's mascots to become a 360 mascot. I know Rare have almost nothing to do with Nintendo anymore, but he is still an N64 icon. I don't know wtf you're on about.
The face for 360 is Master Chief and Marcus Fenix. PS3 has Sack Boy and Snake. Wii has Mario and Link, even though it's kind of fading, due to this BULLSHIT "for everyone" thing...
"I mean the main mascot figures, not necessarily defining it.Oh, and your logic astounds me, in that you have none.
Like the 360 doesn't neccessarily have to be an online shooter.
THe wii can actually be from a game."
You just yell "360 Fan Boy" all over. Banjo will NEVER change. He will always be remembered for being an N64 icon.
"You could say that maybe a Pinata from Viva Pinata is a 360 mascot, but not Banjo or Joanna Dark."
I really meant gaming figures on the 360.
What I'm saying is if you were to put a poster of the 360's characters you'd put MC, Banjo, the pinatas as you said, and whatever.
Basically think of it as a SSBB: MS Edition
"I really meant gaming figures on the 360.You would not put Banjo...drop the Banjo shit. If Banjo = anything; then Banjo = N64.

Master chief's @ss appeared only once during the life time of 360 but Marcus Fenix is the hero of future .

Banjo = gaming mascot
Banjo = on the 360
Banjo = 360 mascot.
If we can only group one character per console, Mario belongs to the NES.
