Why was Friday Night Forking dropped from the schedule?

During last night's touching and emotional tribute to Checkers the Pig dressed as a Chicken, The Windbag mentioned that he is no longer streaming with Giant Bomb, although he would like to again.

I understand the show is not everyone's cup of tea, but I think it's the most creative thing I've seen in a long time. I reference it, other Giant Bomb members reference it, and people who stream on GB reference it. It seemed to have caught on very quickly.

What happened?

I think there was a mention of only being contracted for the 4 weeks. It seemed like they just wanted to highlight his work so people would watch it. The fact that they only aired one of his four episodes a week was kinda weird to me, especially when we're so focused on narrative continuity.

Yeah it's literally that there were only 4 episodes commissioned. Word on the street is it'll return after a little break.
