World of Warcraft is laggy.

Why is World of Warcraft so laggy lately? I just built a brand new PC, that kills this game in specs so it isn't that my computer isn't up to snuff on this game. But I just jumped back into WOW the last couple days and have found that the lagg is pretty terrible. Anyone else seeing this? Been playing a lot of games on steam, and no lagg on those games either.

All the bugs and shit probably.  Due to pre-cata updates.

Why? Maybe because they recently rolled out all the new content and a ton of people decided to jump in again to find out what it's like.  
They have been talking about their servers getting worked in these past few days with all the new stuff being out.. 

You sure its not your Internet connection? I play with only 3.5 Mbps down and I have not experienced any lag issues with the new Azeroth.

I've been just fine. Giantbomb.com, on the other hand, has been exceptionally laggy today.

Lag =/= low FPS, if that's what you're referring to. Your PC specs have next to nothing to do with your ping.

I haven't had issues with lag, though occasionally I have extremely long load times.  My husband complains of always having long load times now.  Our systems our pretty decent, and run the game just find, no choppiness or anything.  Just long load times.

maybe it's just your server. i remember when i played i played on a server called gorgonnash. we had a nick name for it called gonnacrash. sometimes the server would have problems.

Since the Cataclysm update I have found that it takes more power to run the game but I haven't experienced any lag.

I remember having a 30k latency in Iraq, boy was that ever fun...

There is no lag on the WoW servers at the moment, any connectivity errors are on your end. I'd just like to say aswell that having a brand new top of the lne PC doesn't have any effect on latency.
 
Edit: If you haven't fully downloaded the game yet, that will affect your latency, as you're still downloading and installing the game as it's being played, but if it was that, it will clear up when you have all the data installed.

Of course there's no lag on the WoW servers at the moment. They're down. No one's on. XD

Seems like GiantBomb forums is the perfect place to get WoW tech issues answered.  Trying searching the official forums to see if there have been any announcements or your IPs website.

Might just be your connection or the servers.
