Hes been dead quiet for 3 years now....
WTH is Denis Dyack doing now?
I'm hoping it's Two Human (see what I did there?). I'm one of the few people that actually liked the game, and the game was just getting good towards the end (story wise, I mean). I kind of doubt it though, as the first game was pretty flop-ish.
Wombat and Shipwreck from Cheap Ass Gamer said on one of their last couple podcasts that Dyack still plans on finishing the trilogy. They were speaking to him somewhere during E3 (I think it was a party of some sort?) and they mentioned that they were fans of the original. Basically, he told them that they're working on TH 2 and as of now plan to do the third game as well.
I also liked Too Human quite a bit. Yeah... I saw it's flaws but the combat was fun. The questions to if we see a sequal is if Dyack finds a investor or publisher. I'm kind of uncertain if Microsoft want's to publish Two Human so what Dyack is doing now should be pitching the game to other publishers. This is just my guessing of course.
I read somewhere that Dyack and SK got some sort of grant from the Canadian gov. and are using it to fund game development. Sounds kinda weird. But as far as Dyack announcing a game, or the next Too Human, I can see why he wouldn't. Dyack badly bungled the PR for TH. They need to hire a better spoksperson imo. I personally loved TH, couldn't get enough, and met many who felt the same playing co-op online for months. It would be so great if the trilogy does come to fruition. Here's hoping.
If they are working on Too Human 2, they probably had to start from scratch with a new engine, since last time I checked the "Silicon Knights Engine" was tied up as part of the Unreal lawsuit they are involved in.
It's funny, I was actually just thinking about this when someone mentioned Neo Gaf. Oh the funny times of Dyack and Gaf.
Man. I bet John Romero wishes his country's government had propped up his game company after releasing a flop.

I recall Mr. Softy was fully backing the whole trilogy. I
haven't heard any news of Dyack & co. being blown off by Ballmer.
Too Human was one of the only games I know where I actually yelled
& cursed at my TV set for hating the game so much. Granted that to
get my ~905 gamer points it was a terrible bitch of a task. And a fucking
store that promised all this DLC bullshit & never included any of it. And
hard-as-hell gamer points so you could see how repetitive & boring the
game play was, waiting forever for something useful to drop after a
kill.
The only way I'd play Too Human 2 is after the price drop to $20
or fewer dollars. I'm no longer that into being a glutton for punishment.
Too Human is garbage; Dyack's still ashamed about the fact that Silicon Knights continues to claim it developed the entire Metal Gear Solid series.
