I have been running my Xbox 360 for a few month using the Nyko cooler, my system ran at a cool temp. I have heard a ton of problems w/ this product, mainly it takes operating power from the 360 itself & it can cause scorching? Since I have stopped using it though, my 360 syste mto run at a very hot temp and my game discs actually are hot after playign for an hour or two. Any suggestions? Thanks

I don't think there's much you can do except move your Xbox to a clean, well-ventilated place.

Yea, whatever you think intercoolers are not good for the system. Like Schizoid said, properly ventilate the location and you should be fine.

I just really fear the red ring of death. I bought my 360 about a 1 year and 1/2 ago, and I think I might have one of the hgiher rate of failure systems

Well the best way to keep it ventilated is to have it standing vertically, but the most stable position is horizontal. The Nyko Intercooler EX is a quality cooler & it does its job so if you're using that (bravo). Even though people hate on it & most coolers the EX is really the best option on the market. Even IGN agrees... The cool thing is Nyko is actually puttin out a NEW, BETTER cooler soon called the Intercooler TS. CHECK IT YO!

Don't take any suggestions on intercoolers. Since it uses the same power supply it just increases the heat, so it basically counteracts itself. All you need is ventilation, intercoolers can void the MS warranty.
