" Quitting World of Warcraft after 4 years of playing. Feels good man. :) "Me too. also, quitting Ragnarok Online prior to the WoW addiction.
Your personal "greatest achievement" in gaming?
Getting my first and only win in an online Street Fighter IV match. I'm really good at fighters.
But seriously, it's probably winning a few hundred bucks in a CoD4 tourney, getting paid to play games is immensely satisfying.
" I played as a sniper in Bf2, and the enemy commander had spotted me on his radar. Some combat helicopter started flying towards me in the distance, and the gunner started shooting towards the cliff he knew I was seated on long before he could physically see me. I knew I was going to be owned soon, so I took a quick shoot towards the direction I could see the bullets coming from. The shot ended up hitting the chopper pilot right in the head, causing the helicopter to spiral down and crash right into the ground with the gunner inside. He was furious, at first he thought the pilot was just trying to show off his "close to ground flying skills", but he was actually dead. It was the most awesome moment I've ever had in any game, and it makes me furious to this day that I didn't record it. "Dude that sounds epic.
" @FlamingHobo said:For future reference, Xfire's recording feature has a "Time shift" option so you can record what you saw a few seconds ago. It's resource intensive of course, but you might want to conciser it ;]"Dude that sounds epic. "Believe me, it was. The gunner filled the chat with rage, claiming I used some kind of aimbot. Bah I should have recorded the damn thing... "

Thanks for the tip! I have never tried x-fire thoroughly, I remember downloading it once, but never using it. This certainly is a reason to use it :p
Only person on Giantbomb to have an S rank in DBZ Burst Limit...
Vinny would be proud
Edit: Nevermind someone else recently joined who has it
Edit 2: Alright the other guy who has it is a hacker; I don't know what that counts as.
Only person to have a legit S rank in DBZ burst limit
" I completed F-Zero GX's campaign 100% on VERY HARD. I remember F-Zero was definitely in the top five all time hardest games ever created courtesy of IGN. And damn, it's quite a feat to do that. "OK, how the shit did you beat Captain Falcon Trains on Very Hard. I beat every mission on VH except for that one. It's completely insane.
Oh yeah, beating Ninja Gaiden Black on Very Hard, smashing a controller in the process and clocking 130 hours playtime. Still an amazing game. Also beat Viewtiful Joe on Ultra V-Rated which was completely bananas grind-your-knuckles-against-the-pavement crazy hard.
Realizing at the end of a Search and Destroy match in COD4 that I went 15-0, meaning that I killed every player on the other team in all three rounds. Also in COD:WaW, there was a stretch of about two weeks where I was on my game getting scores like 54-9, 44-2, etc. over and over again. I felt invincible. :)
Many others, but those are recent and memorable.
It would be a triple mid-air direct rocket hit on Quake 3 on Pro-Q3dm6.
On the Rocket Launcher Platform; someone bounces up; I hit him directly so he flies backwards and upwards.
I shoot just below him while moving forward to the edge of the platform and follow him down jumping off and see the rocket hit him just above the "2nd level".
I shoot my 3rd rocket near the floor and he eats it up and dies, I turn around and grab the Quad and go for a Lightning Gun spree.
people who know the map will know what I mean.
" At my brothers birthday I started a River Raid drinking game. Score vs Score, one run only each loser has to take a shot. I totally kicked all those 9 year old kids asses. "This guy is probably the biggest loser I've ever experienced on the internet.
Seriously? Getting drunk with 9 year olds if your greatest achievement of all time?

Briefly considering the idea of going for 1000 gamerscore in Dead Rising before suddenly coming to my senses.
Umm, I have two platinums. And not from PSN games, from full retail games.
Also, once in Halo, I was playing with a friend of mine in Big Team Slayer. There was a connection problem and 30 seconds into the game our entire team got disconnected and that left me and my friend by ourselves. Together we beat an opposition team that had full strength (8 players I think). It was epic.
Another time, with the same friend, some clan who we beat challenged us. There were 4 members, and they challenged us to take them on in a two vs two match, meaning me and my friend went up against two of them, then when we beat them, we played against the other two. We won. It was epic because they were incredibly arrogant and kept taunting us.
A recent memory was while playing CoD4. The other team was about to win the game by capturing the point or whatever (I don't remember what gametype we were playing) and nobody on my team had time to get over to them before they got it, so we thought we were gonna lose. I ran as far as I could and tossed 2 grenades across the map in the last 10 seconds of play and killed all 4 of them, letting us win. :)
Not sure if it would be my top but off the top of my head I would say beating all the N+ Episodes. It may be down loadable but its soooo hard
and finding all the flags in AC was pretty sweet too
pokemon...catching them all, anyone ever actually do that? it was hard and really lame if you did it by yourself cause you had to have two games and basiclly play through the game almost three times but me and my 8 year old self did it, crazy
A few come to mind...but I would have to say one of my greatest would have to be completing through fire and flames on expert.
WoW is not crack, people. If you can't handle playing an mmo responsibly, don't blame the game. Blame yourselves. Sheesh....
My greatest achievement is probably to have beaten TMNT on the NES back when I was a kid many, many times. I thought it was easy. The internets told me it was a hard game apparantly.
