I would be like most people to say that I was really looking forward to it. The concept and how it was nailed throughout the various demos we've been shown indicated that this was going to be pretty awesome. I guess by the power of the suits that let be, it will no longer be in our hands.

I guess this is better than development hell...

This sucks. That game looked so good back when it was announced. I was excited for it. God dammit Bethesda. They just love hurting me.

What a weird story this will be when it can be fully told in ten to fifteen years. Bizarre lineage.

If they couldn't make a good game out of it, it's better to cancel it and move on. After so many years of development and then rebooting it, eventually you run into a budget where it's highly unlikely they will have financial success, especially on an IP that didn't have a great first title to begin with (never played Prey, just judging it off of the review scores).

Glad they finally killed it. Hope the demos eventually get leaked because those looked really fun.

I totally thought this was cancelled awhile ago.

Not gonna lie, my immediate reaction was "Wasn't this game already canned a while ago?" It seems like something Bethesda was content to sweep under the rug after the original developers were pulled off the project.

What a bummer ... the concept sounded right , but hopefully they can reuse some stuff and rebrand it into something else , also they sure did take their time to can it , quite frankly I thought this was cancelled a long time ago.

Honestly, I would have been more surprised to hear that it had not been cancelled by this point. It's unfortunate though, that game looked really neat.

Oh well.

@theht: That trailer, and I realize it had so very little to do with how that game would've probably played, sold me so hard on this game.

This is disappointing news. Hopefully someone makes a space bounty huntin' original IP. I think it's an untapped market.

Guess one should be happy that unlike with that sweet original Overstrike Fuse trailer, we didn't eventually end up with a crappy generic third-person shooter and can now at least pretend the final game would've been totally awesome.

Someone needs to just make this game and not call it prey 2. That name was holding it back anyway.

Well, at least we still have The Last Guardian coming out, right?...Right?!
