Giant Bomb, Through the Years

Giant Bomb has a pretty dedicated following, but not all of us have been here since the beginning. Here are some of the sites designs since 2008. 

I think we need a completely new look!

Been here since day 1 and I love the way the site has evolved

Its cool to hsee how the site's evolved through time. I'm surprised how quick I'd forgotten how it actually looked way back when.

I really like where they are now with the site, it's seems like a steady evolution after seeing the pictures.

Can't remember the second one though.

Those images bring back a flood of memories, it's crazy to think how much the site has evolved since the beginning.

Remember the lists that used to be on the main page? I remember when it first launched, so swamped were they with game page requests, that the site was slower than a really slow thing on drank.

It wasn't long ago but when they introduced quests they had that bar along the bottom.

Been around since the start and it's been fun to see it grow and become iterated.

That brings back great memories, I remember seeing the first one for the first time way back in the day.  Like everyone else said, it's really great to see how far they've come especially being there since the beginning. 

Dave should be proud. I wonder what's in store for the future of the site.

Quite the evolution! By the way, is it just my imagination or was there a super basic black blogger site before the first image? I thought the first pic was the moment when everything started to come together, brad and vinny were hired, and the podcast was actually called the bombcast. Oh, to be young again...

I've been around since the days when Giantbomb was just a blog. It is nice to see the site grow and evolve and keep getting better and better. 

This thread's as good a place as any to ask: does anyone know when the artwork and theme for the season are supposed to change? I'm talking about how season two had the retro Bombcast theme and clouds and rainbow picture, and how this one has the Die Hard theme.

Totally using it to creep my own profile.

I still prefer the third from the bottom. 

I've been with Giant Bomb since it was a blog, I really liked those old designs, I wasn't a big fan of the flash NXE style header design. I love the way the site is now.

It's good to look at were we have come from, especially as I'd forgotten a lot of what made those old layouts so different to how it looks now.

Cool! I don't remember the second one though. I never like the first one and didn't come around here much after seeing it. When I did they must have moved past it.

WTF. This got me thinking, I wonder what's up with that russian Giantbomb I found that was all purple, and I go to it, and it's no longer russian GiantBomb. it's still a russian site, just not giantbomb :(

Aesthetically, I think the second design was the best.

That is an amazing site! To think we can relive the infantile moments of GiantBomb! It's really quite amazing how much the site has changed. I'm also shocked at little I remembered how it looked before. This also makes me excited for the next big redesign. I think we're due for one. I expect it will happen once they finally get achievements back up to where they used to be. I miss the stat tracking on the front page :(

The site has never been bad design-wise, but it has gotten better with every iteration. Thanks for the tip on waybackmachine! Never seen it before.

This site has improved a lot over time.  Still miss the wiki thingy that was on the front page though.  I really liked that.

Did anyone get any shots of the blog days? The most glorious time when CK was the 1st one to comment on everything. Also damn it has been years.... How the time flies.
