Halo: Cardboard Evolved
"I mean lets not get carried away with our video games or anythingAgreed but still cool.

This kid will be the greatest toy maker of all time. Or a serial killer. Depends on if he ever gets laid.
now he need to work on the detail of his armor and make it more complete and bungie will bow to him.
"Origina1Penguin said:An overstatement. I respect his creativity and attention to detail. Perhaps I'm just jealous because when I was a kid, the best I had was Goldeneye guns for models :P"It's time for his parents to start worrying."Why? Because he's extremely creative?"
"This kid will be the greatest toy maker of all time. Or a serial killer. Depends on if he ever gets laid."serial killer, hope ur not a ps3 fanboy...... also this is a one word depicyion of this kid..... NERDGODIEINAHOLETHISISWHAT GIVESGAMERSABADNAME
"I feel bad for the kid. Here are the kind of comments he's getting on the video:Totally. Youtube is filled with idiots. Stop hating on this kid because he has some artistic talent. At least he's doing something else besides sitting on his Xbox."runforest2 (1 hour ago)"you little f***wad thank you for wasting my time on this video please do the world a favor and kill yourself you little tool u do not deserve to live"

I know I do. The original Xbox makes for a wonderful little seat boost for little ones. I generally use it in theaters that do not have a high degree of slant. Hey, sometimes, I just can't see over the guy's head.
I know lots of people on the internet probably laugh at him, but I must say those props are pretty awesome.
!! Awesome! the plasma pistol looked alot like the one from the store, but I guess it wasnt, and even if that was, he still made everything else, geez, amazingly well done!
I wanna see a cardboard Grav Gun!
I dont know if I should mock that kid for the obvious reason or praise him for his craftsmanship.
Am I the only one who finds that deeply disturbing?
Yes, granted, there's some great talent and commitment involved, and I respect that. It's fantastic that there's still kids building stuff out of cardboard, especially stuff this elaborate. However, seeing that kid making detailed perfectly scaled cardboard-replica of a dozen of guns from some online-shooter, casually recreating the player models animations in the progress is kinda like congratulating a serial killer on what wonderful pieces of art he built out of human skin. There's talent, but it's employed in obsessive, creepy and questionable ways.
If this was my kid, I'd compliment him on the things he built, but the next day I would make damn sure to limit his time playing Halo.
I really don't understand you guys. His models show that he's a hard worker, artistic, creative, meticulous, and diligent. All characteristics I would welcome in my children.
At least he's doing this on the side - I bet half of you guys just game all day, which is a far less rewarding activity than this.
Jealous haters are jealous

It boils down to a 14(?) year old who seems to spend all of his time playing an online shooter, then rebuilding it's weapons and armor out of cardboard so that he can train to look and move just like the guys in the game. This kids youtube-account overflows with Halo3-stuff. Once again, great that the game inspired him to be creative, but I really, really, hope his motivation is the fun of creating stuff, not the pleasure of looking like a cool soldier realistically reloading his weapon. It's not so much the weapons, it's the way he moves like the guys in the game that disturbs me. This is obsession.
Now I still think this kid grows up to be one of the more pleasant people. There's undeniably a talent there. Nonetheless, creepy.
"When I was 12 or 13, I would have loved to to look like a cool soldier realistically reloading his weapon.Yes. But you didn't actually do it, and you didn't get worldwide attention.
Now don't get me wrong. This kid needs to be encouraged. It's great. But if there's one thing he should probably stop doing, it's playing Halo.
(even ignoring the fact that at his age he shouldn't have been playing it in the first place)
"ok first whoever said this is better than playing his xbox, wrong, if he wasnt so obsessed with xbox in the begining then he wouldnt be in this position, instead of going outside and playing sports or getting a part tme job hes building halo shot out of cardboard"He's probably not old enough to get a job yet, so I could imagine making cardboard versions of weapons is the next best thing.
"Everyone is obsessed with something whether you know it or not.
