TV series is confirmed

Dear motorsport fans

Here is a news article that I just discovered in GTPlanet, which is a TV show based on this video game franchise, so I'm guessing the plot is going to be like TOCA Race Driver or Days Of Thunder?

I want it to be more like Thunderbolt, because martial arts and cars go together like PB&J.

Do I need to pass a license test to watch it?

No, but when this becomes a success you will have to pass the driving test for the Driver movie starring fav character John Tanner. And yes, he will also leave the car in the movie, because that's what Tanner does. And yes, there will be a scene in SF where you hop over & under a gaggle of police cars.

It might be directed by Neil Blomkamp, right?

So maybe it's a story about Shrimps (derogatory against aliens) learning how to drive car with Gran Turismo™ 7 game (+microtransactions) and get their license while wearing a backward baseball cap ala Piccolo (which also an alien, car spoiler)

Forget the plot. The show should be all about cars, not the people adjacent to them.

I think the only way to make TV content about Gran Turismo that is kind of true and relevant to fans of the series is if they make some A&E/old history channel series where they erotically talk about a different car or brand on each episode, while showing extreme closeups of the chassis and the interior, erotically.

They should also focus on the cars history, and anecdotes about how the engineers changed the course of the industry forever by making it green, in a manner that works as ASMR for car enthusiasts.

A car restauration or scavenger setting could work, just remember that the focus are the cars, and everything with legs is just window dressing (except the car designers, of course).

I have heard some inklings that instead of a fictional tv series the show should just be a Top Gear clone. Not sure how I would feel about that.

But are they going to look under the hood in the first episode??

This show had better be just a live-action version of the cafe from the game. Every episode is just a character going, "Look! It's [obscure car designer]! He designed the [best selling but incredibly generic car]! I'll bet he has some interesting things to say about working for [well-known brand name]!

I just want an episode where a Gen V Supra driver tells a BMW Z4 G29 owner to "Keep, my car's name, out your fucking, mouth!"

I guess it should take place in Nurburgring's Green Hell.
