After a day of working I go on the internet and see that a trailer for the next Mortal Kombat game and watch it immediately since I loved the last game. After watching the trailer I thought it looked really cool and badass. It wasn't until later in the day in which I watch the trailer again because of how awesome I thought it was and read the comments both on YouTube and Giantbomb and see that people are shitting on the song choice; the song is "Can't be Stopped" by Wiz Khalifa and I thought it fit the trailer pretty damn well and actually liked the song. Now I am into rap a good amount can very much enjoy a good solid beat and I understand that some people are not into rap and are looking for something else or an original score or something I don't know. Normally when I am watching a trailer for anything I don't listen to the music its just kind of there. I only notice it when it either matches what is happening in the video or when it sounds really well, and I think in both cases it fit fine to me.
But people are talking more about the damn music in a trailer of a game that isn't shipping until next year. I want to see the comments that are actually focusing on the gameplay rather than the music because this song will probably not be in the game at all. I want to see the comments of people saying all of the cool things they can do with some of the new mechanics they were showing; using the environment or the really detailed X-Ray moves that might be in the game and not the trailer.
Anyone else have thoughts on this or am I caring a bit much.
