Multiplayer update announced for July 24th

It only took them two years but they finally made good on one of their earliest pre-release promises:

I bought this game in a PSN sale for 10 quid a year after release and, after all the bitter and negative commentary surrounding it, I was pleasantly surprised. Being able to randomly bump into other spacepeople is incentive enough for me to jump back in. How do you feel about it?

To little too late? At least i enjoyed the soundtrack.

I'm going to jump back in and play for a few weeks at least. I enjoyed he original release, probably because I had a bit more realistic expectations than what the general public seemed to have.

I bought it three days after launch for the PS4. I didn't buy into the hype train, so I waited for some reviews and watched Jeff play a bit of it. I liked what I saw and thought this is a game for me. Almost two years later and I'm still playing. Looking forward to NEXT.

Hey, that's my birthday!

I just hit the 100 hour mark in No Man's Sky and with this news, I don't see my hour count slowing down any time soon. Good on Hello Games for doing this it couldn't have been easy.

Yeah, I'm definitely checking this out. Lowkey really like this game, was just hoping they'd add multiplayer. ;)

Good for them. I'll definitely jump back in and check it all out.

Didn't check-in during any of their big updates, so I'll be coming at things with my last experience being the game at launch. That said, given the nature of the game, I won't hold my breath until I find another player lol.

I'm not really interested in multiplayer but if they make any other meaningful changes to the game I'll be happy to jump back in.
