Nah, college will be pretty kickass. After that though, you realize what a long and horrible thing life is. The real fucked up part is the older you get the more soul crushing and tedious it becomes, yet the faster it goes by - speeding you towards death at a rate inconceivable to you when you were a fresh-faced 18 year old. It comes to you one night, laying in bed trying to go to sleep, that the window of doing anything meaningful with your life is now about as wide as an ant's asshole. You wasted your youth, are trapped in middle age, and the only years left to follow your dreams are going to be the shitty, medicare-y ones. You wonder where all the time went, how a world that once seemed so endless and full of possiblity when you were young has disappeared so quickly, leaving only the ugly, brutal reality you find yourself imprisoned in. Where did it go wrong? You slide the barrel of the 9mm handgun in your mouth, then bite down on the cold black metal in between your teeth. You wish to God He gave out second chances. The thoughts of everything you should of or would of done, who you could have been, cascade through your mind in vicious currents of nostalgia. The last thing you feel is your finger tightening on the trigger. Happy Birthday.
