Hey all, I'm looking to move my gaming rig from a room on the main floor of my house to the basement. Currently the wireless router (which seems pretty powerful) is in the tv room which sets just above the basement and over to the right hooked up to another less powerful pc the family uses. My question is about setting my gaming rig up with a powerful enough adapter or card to be able to stream things like Giant Bomb's live shows/be fast enough to play games online. For the time being I'd like to spend around 160 dollars or less, and at the moment running a hardline down there would be complicated. Looking for any recommendations and will be happy to answer any questions.

I don't know a ton about adapters, but a repeater instantly came to mind. There's a pretty good article to check out, here.

Perhaps a strong adapter with a big antenna would do you just fine, though. In that case I'd probably just look for ones with good reviews on Amazon. Either way, good luck.

Edit:

Oh, and there's the option of using powerline adapters, which you just plug into your outlets and it'll take a wired connection through the outlet.
