I just saw a trailer for "Star Wars: The Clone Wars", and I must say that (I think) it looks pretty terrible. The art style and animation are fantastic, but I just think it will be too childish for me to really enjoy. From the trailer I saw, the voice acting seems like something close to Resident Evil's on the cheesy-ness scale, and I just have a feeling that the dialogue will be bland overall. It was hard enough to sit through Phantom Menace with all of those "this is made specifically for young childrens' entertainment and is insulting my intelligence" scenes, and I think this movie will be full of more of those.
Thoughts? Am I crazy to be hating on this movie?
Anyone else not excited at all for the new Star Wars movie?
"/signedSame here. I'll see it inevitably, but I doubt I'll walk away impressed.
Most likely won't be seeing it, although may end up doing so just because its Star Wars, so I'll feel somewhat obliged to see it.

Sadly, that's the truth.

"isn't the style of those mini-series they passed on cartoon network? (maybe im wrong) and i don't think ill watch it :/"They are similar, but the Cartoon Network series was traditional animation and the movie will be CGI.

My issue with it isn't the child attraction that it will be, or the visual style and animation because i really like that but rather its set in the Clone Wars revolving around Anakin Skywalker AGAIN!....
Seriously we had the Attack of the Clones movie, then there was some short cartoon series and now we get another movie based on the cartoon? Couldn't they have pushed the boat out and perhaps done a film, even an animated one, about the KOTOR universe?
Star Wars has lost all its appeal to me really, they just keep going over the same stuff thats already been covered again and again.
"/signedWell the Live Action series isn't about Anakin...

I'm not really into Star Wars, I enjoyed every movie; even Episode 1, 2 and 3. I watch them for the sci-fi fantasy and just beyond belief plotline of midiclorians, anakin, sons and daughters of fantastical queens and fallen knights, it was really fun to watch, anything similar I'll love!
"It's not a Star Wars movie. There haven't been any Star Wars movies since the '80s.Yea there have been. There were 3 even. The prequels. Remember? Ep 1 sucked, Ep 2 was extremely forgettable and Ep 3 was alright. Remember?
"
Just because you didnt like them doesnt mean they don't exist. That's like a racist saying black people dont exist.
"I probably won't see it. I'm don't like Star Wars enough to watch some "wannabe anime".Okay, so anything animated is wannabe anime?
"
There is no way i will be seeing that movie.
Any Star Wars film with the word "Clone" in will be be a disaster; Example: Episode II

Though they were as different as a Master and his apprentice could be, Anakin and Ahsoka quickly found a common ground, which left Yoda wondering whether the responsibility of mentorship would actually calm Anakin's wild ways, or if he'd simply pass them on to his new Padawan""Is it just me or does the idea of giving Anakin an apprentice seem ridiculous (as she has to die?)Anakin has an apprentice in this movie?

To quote Lando: "This deal is getting worse all the time."

I can't stand the art style. It looks like a deformed version of the Clone Wars cartoon. I might check it out, depending on the reactions from others.

It's the lame dialogue and seemingly youth-targeted scenes that irk me the most.

This movie seems really commercial. Unfortunately, it seems people are trying to cash in on the Star Wars franchise. Let the milking begin.
"It's not a Star Wars movie. There haven't been any Star Wars movies since the '80s.Exactly, I'd have to agree. Though I'll probably still see it just because.

oh really? I heard about something like this happening. I don't really know what to expect though.

Granted, there will most likely be a lot of CGI special effects, but to the best of my knowledge the characters should all be real people.
