Its when you hear your very own breathing/voice inside your own head.  I have it and its very annoying. Anyone in the same boat?

I definetly don't have, so nevermind:

Patulous Eustachian tube, also known as patent Eustachian tube, is the name of a rare physical disorder where the Eustachian tube, which is normally closed, instead stays intermittently open. As a result, when it is open, all of the patient's breathing, talking, swallowing, heart beat, etc. vibrates directly on the ear drum creating an effect that sounds like the patient has a bucket on his/her head. The medical term for this phenomenon is autophony, the hearing of self-generated sounds.

Does this count under it? Sometimes every now and then I can hear a loud ping in my ears, when it is really quiet. My brother heard it once too, with me. Has happened alot, I also every now and then will hear a song in my head, if I'm thinking about it, and if I think its on TV, it really isn't.

This is the best topic title I have ever seen.

And nah, I don't have that. Sounds kinda odd really.

When my Live mic starts echoing my own shit back at me I just sit there and stare blanky into space making asinine noises, enjoying my own sound. If I had that going on all the time people at work would think I was a schizophrenic, I'd just sit there doing the same fucking thing.

If your brother hears it too you obviously have a ping monster in your house.

It didn't happen in my house, but that happened once, where somebody else hared it.

Maybe I'm just fucked up in the head.

Maybe that thing is annoying because no one can pronounce it well.

I could pronounce it, but I didn't remember what the hell it meant, so I came into this thread anticipating some kind of perversion.  And I must say I was disappointed :(

One of my friends does have this though, and it drives him crazy.  Especially when he's drinking and starts talking/yelling louder than he thought he was.

"perversion"??? you mean like an eighty year-old touching a minor?
