C. although mostly because I workout a lot!
Are you in good shape/health ?
I run every day, I go to the gym multiple times a week, I don't drink sugary drinks nor do I eat any sort of candy or chips, I almost never eat fast food, I don't eat white bread/rice, I don't drink alcoholic beverages all that often, I rarely smoke and I sit on a fitness ball instead of a computer chair. I'd say I'm healthy, but I would not say I'm in ideal shape.
Eh, not really. I've been pretty good with my diet but sometimes i still eat stuff thats bad for me. I also have been going to the gym 3-4 times a week pretty regularly but i should be getting more exercise. If you gave an "eh, i'm in alright shape" i would have picked that.
A =)
I don't sport super muscular image, but I've ran several marathons and was qualified for Olympic Trials in Speed Skating (didn't do it when I chose school and music over sports). I still run 3 or 4 times a week for a few hours in those days, and try to generally eat healthy - though sometimes that slips.
I have a six pack and i can do like 120 push ups on one set, though i don't go to the gym, its a wonder what 40 pull ups a day for a year will do to you(the abs are from the pull ups, the continuous tightening of the core is what makes them) + i bike to school, and jog once a month.
I am in ACTUAL shape and not pseudo gym shape, i can run a mile in about 5 min and 30 , and can bike on 30 degree roads for hours on end.

"Marathon... if your not in good shape, nobody is... unless you slipped BAAAAAD. Also same here on school over Olympics(though for 400 meters)
I train at least 5 days a week usually because I am a boxer but I recently got a stomach illness and haven't trained for like 2 weeks. Can't wait until I can run again.
D.
I pretty much eat/drink whatever I want and tend to drink quite a bit every weekend. Except that my body doesn't reflect any of that as I have the metabolism of a hummingbird. I look healthy but really I'm terribly out of shape. Recently purchased a skateboard in an effort to get back into skating and give myself a fun way to get back into shape. Just have to actually get around to it now...
" I'm in pretty good shape. Though I'm working out and trying to bulk up. "Me too! It has been my goal this entire semester.
One thing I have noticed is just how much better life feels when you work out regularly. I don't know if it is because of the endorphins, but, it is awesome.
I'm technically overweight, but I'm still healthy. I eat right. I regularly exercise. And I'm not gaining weight.
I'm not in the best shape, but I'm aiming for that, and as far as I'm concerned, I'm perfectly healthy.
yeah being skinny without working out is called being blessed." PROTIP: If you don't exercise you are not in good shape. Being skinny and being in good shape aren't the same thing. "
me personally am a fat fuck. though I mostly say that in a self deprecating way. extreem tallness is my savior. I would have to be nearly 300 pounds to actually look fat.
I love threads where people can tell us how fuckin' awesome they are.
Not particularly. I'm in a constant state of physical discomfort through lack of sleep and stress. And eating habits.
I chose A. Yes. I don't do drugs, don't smoke, quit drinking entirely a year ago and eat healthy. Although in my line of work there's plenty of physical labour involved, I should exercise a little more. A daily walk through the park for half an hour doesn't count, right? Or does it?
I'd say I'm in fairly decent shape. I discovered late last year that I was really out of shape, cardio-vascularrlrlrly. My legs were also a bit weak from not having to do powerful sprints for years. I went through pre-season hockey training, then proper training and a few games, and now I feel great. Though I think my legs have increased in size and now my jeans are all really tight.
Food-wise, I have my own approach to healthy eating. I try to stay awake from processed foods as much as I can. I don't over-analyse food and monitor my intake of fats and salt, I just make a judgement call whenever I go to eat something. For example, if I feel like having nachos, I'll go with the organic corn chips - never the dusted ones. I also make sandwiches out of whole-grain bread instead of dodgy white bread. Naturally I entirely cut out McDonalds, KFC and other fast food. It's been over a year since I made that decision and I haven't had any since. I'll still drink a fair bit of coffee, but I don't have much alcohol. I'll drink probably one night a week maximum, and I'll generally only have one beer with dinner, unless I'm with my mates and then it's more like 3. Haven't been off-my-face-trashed in a long time, and I feel better for it.
" @Unknown_Pleasures: any advice for swimming? It's the only sport which can maintain my interest. "Swimming is a great sport for keeping in shape and getting a great workout....I swam competitively for many years and it is definitely great exercise....however, a lot of people struggle with it because its a hard sport to just pick up.....if your looking at swimming for exercise I would say definitely get lessons to work on your technique, the better your technique the better workout you will get....you can even join a team to get a written workout, most workouts have sets and drills so your not just swimming continuously which can get boring quickly.
I was a chubster up until 2nd year of high school. After that, I started eating healthy and a few years later I started running a few miles a night -- which I still do to this day. I lost a good 50 pounds.
- I don't drink soda. At all. Ever.
- I rarely drink fruit juices, mostly just water.
- I'll grab food from a fast food place every once in awhile, but if I do it's just a salad.
- I really don't enjoy any sort of greasy food anymore.
I'm in good shape health wise, but I'm not buff and could do with toning up. I walk 4 miles a day home from work and have a decent sit up/push up routine. I lost a load of weight at one point which was great, but like I say, I'd like to get toned.
I generally eat OK and I don't drink alcohol (as) much (as I used to)... but every now and then I'll whack down a tube of Pringles with no problem which I'll feel bad for.
Nope. I've been working out every day for the last two weeks, though. I don't really have a long-term goal in mind aside from getting rid of my bitch tits and making my arms a bit bigger and more toned. It's kind of weird, I thought I'd fucking despise lifting, but I find it's a pretty good release.
