Do you just post or do you make topics ? I tend to do a lil bit of both. I find it fun to make interesting topics and seeing how many posts I can get in them.
Are you just a poster ?
I do both. I'm far too lazy to update the GiantBomb encyclopedia though, even though I really want to.
I'm just a poster, and I rarely do that. For some reason I always think that whatever I have to say isn't interesting enough so I don't bother saying it. I have several ideas for blog posts that I have never written simply because a) I get caught up in other things and forget, b) I don't think it's interesting enough.
I prefer to make topics, and wade clumsily into other peoples too. Lurking on a community forum just seems like the most boring thing ever, lurking other places though, depends what the forum is and what's being posted. If it's a slew of usefull info or links then i'll lurk for the most part. But general discussion and off-topic style forums? Lurking seems like the most boring thing ever.
I do both but I usually fail at making topics. I also, try to edit content on the site. "try" being a key word.
Making a thread is probably the only way to have your opinion discussed on the internet. Posting is just dumping your opinion among all the others. On this forum, like many forums, people dont really discuss and exchange, they just drop their opinion about the subject and move on. And it sucks. but hey, that's the net for ya.
poster.. i dont have anything to say that hasnt been said, and im always short on info and cant provide any for the wiki pages. i also think that my opinions are strange, well not to me but to people, so im usually quiet.
I make topics, but not all that often. Really has to be something I feel like talking about more than the average post. At that point, its a mix of blog topics as well as just forum topics. I do admit, I've made numerous ones in the SW:tOR forum. But I've got quite an interest there, so I feel it goes hand in hand.
