At what age is it ok to grow a beard?

I saw a 17 year old person with a beard, I think he looked like asshole.

I see alot of Pakistani kids with mustaches, they are 12. They don't look weird.

As soon as you can grow facial hair, you can grow a beard.

I was in my early 20's by the time I could grow a decent looking beard.  Before that it was just a patchy mess.

Im 14 and I have more mustache than guys who are 18 here. Its probably because Im from India. I haven't shaved yet as I don't find it necessary. Ill do it when I want to.

There's no good age to grow a beard.  You'll look like a hobo regardless.

I'm 15, nearly 16, and I have a fairly well-grown moustache/beard(only around my chin).

As soon as posable!  in fact you have to cut some of your hair from your head and glue it on to your face NOW!   "Dam your smooth"  (3 points for the person that knows where thats from)

I don't know, whenever it comes in good I guess.  I've got a goatee right now at age 16.

I grew a decent beard at 16, but I trimmed it down to a goatee pretty quickly.  If it's not patchy or grungy, who cares?

It really does depend on a lot of variables.

I'm 19 and I can't grow a beard.

I've been trying for 3 months now but all I have is small wisp under my chin. There are 12 year olds whose beards put me to shame.

When you can grow one without it looking like hair on your balls, it is time.

Anytime after high school so you don't look like a kid whose trying to hard... at least for goatees and short beards. For a full beard I'd say in your mid 30's.

One cannot merely grow a beard without understanding its power, and by the sounds of it you do not have the knowledge to control that power.

Like everyone else said.  When you can actually grow one in.  Not just in patches or whiskers.

Beards = yuck, i would say 45+.
