Beer is such a broad spectrum...from say Bud Light to Guinness and everything in between you have tons. Whiskey is whiskey, some of it goes down easier than others but ya...
and Jack and Coke, Jack and Ginger go well together. Haven't tried Iced Tea...i'll give it a shot soon. Had like 4 Jack and Cokes today and a bunch of Wild Turkey and Ginger...yay for weddings where you supply your own liquor.
Jack and coke is nice, I like wild turkey and pepsi. Beer is good too, I love Corona and miller. As far as other drinks, vodka and lemonade are really good mixes. Also try taking vodka in a big ice tea pitcher and tossing in a few apple jolly ranchers. Very nice on a hot day. Couple martines. mmmmm....damn its making my mouth water just thinking about all the combos of drinks I can make.

Beer! Oh my god beer! But you have to drink good quality beer. You can't drink shit beer, then whiskey would win every time. Good beer though always wins to me.
Dead Guy Ale (Rogue), Bullfrog Ale, Ayinger, Guiness of course, Murphy's, Kilkenny and so forth. There are really way too many to name.
If you want a cheap good beer, actually going with a Trader Joe's beer is not a bad choice. Especially their Hofbrau or Dunkelweizen. Both great choices, somewhat surprisingly.
Normally I drink beer, but on special occasions I do like a nice whiskey. The problem is, whiskey is too strong to drink most of the time, so I'll have to go for beer. You can't beat a nice hoppy real ale.

I like a good scotch whiskey, Chivas Regal Royal Salute is excellent. I also enjoy bourbon, Makers mark or Wild turkey, however I would sooner drink my own various excreta than touch a drop of Jack Daniels! Though that's a sour mash, not a bourbon.
I drink everything, beer, whiskey, bourbon, vodka, wine, absinthe, and further make cocktails of it such as the Harvey Wallbanger. It just depends on the night, whether I got work in the morning, and who's the company. Wife = beer for me, co-workers = whiskey or bourbon, my close female friends = vodka, friday night = absinthe, and everything inbetween. I never consider myself to be a single-type-of-drinker, that's almost as bad as the single-console-owner.
