The Greatest Generation - The Wonder Years
What You Don't See - The Story so Far
I'm sort of out of my element here, since I don't keep up with much current music, but I really enjoyed R.A.M. by Daft Punk.
I met this girl yesterday who fucking loves that band and kept talking about them. I guess I should probably listen to that then.
Habitual Levitations by Intronaut, all the progressive heaviness I was looking for
Devil Put Dinosaurs Here by Alice in Chains, not nearly as good as the old stuff in my opinion but a still pretty good
Heart of Oak- Anciients, a smaller Vancouver band that has some of the best guitars in modern metal in my opinion
Young Wisdom - Black Wizard, another small Vancouver band with some great stoner/desert rock
The Hurry and The Harm - City and Colour, something nice and light to break up all that metal
Aenigma - In Vain, crazy prog death metal where one song has a fucking sax solo in it
Furiosity- Monster Truck, just awesome old school rock
Sound City Real to Reel - The Sound City Players, a few songs aren't my thing but the majority are pretty great
Corned Beef Colossus - Steak, if the name wasn't enough it's more awesome stoner/desert rock
Jesus Horse - War Baby, honest to goodness old school grunge sound with a bit of a modern twist
There are also a few I haven't gotten around to listening to yet like Amon Amarth's new album, the new QOTSA, and Daniel Wesley's newest stuff.
Top Ten or so:

No seriously is no-one else noticing the sheer amount of different random ass artist names in this thread?
We're 7 months into the year and like two thousand different new bands and singers released albums? Is literally everyone and their sister banding up and pumping out music?
Rorie, you just gained so much cred in my book. Run The Jewels is my personal favorite followed closely by Daft Punk - Random Access Memories
I even went and saw Run The Jewels in person, both Killer Mike and EL-P just killed it, one of the best shows I have seen in years.
Yeezus - Kanye
Indicud - Kid Cudi
Born Sinner - J Cole
Long. Live. ASAP - A$AP Rocky
I think that's about it :/
You are all wrong. The correct answer is: Pleasure Nexus.

Blame grindcore.
@handsomemuffin: Yeah, it really is. Their best work since Blast Tyrant, and their most comparable one to it as well. Crucial Velocity and Oh, Isabella are such fun songs.
More people need to listen to:
Those are some AMAZING rock albums.
Meanwhile, Palms has been pretty impressive stuff, and Lesser Key is something I am looking out for...specifically to fill my "Tool" needs until Tool puts out a new album.
Karnivool - Asymmetry.
Super looking forward to The Catalyst Fire from Dead Letter Circus here in the next couple weeks. Australian prog/alt rock is amazing.
@onekillwonder_: Definitely. The Face is also a personal favorite of mine from that album as well.
My favorites so far are:
These are also really good:
Most of you guys listen to a lot more music than I do.
"The Living Infinite" from Soilwork and "Black Out the Sun" by Sevendust are my favorites so far this year. Both are such amazing albums and some of the best work from both bands.
I've also really liked "Like Clockwork" from QOTSA, "Earth Rocker" from Clutch, "Albatross" by Big Wreck (it came out in the states this year, at least), "Fire at Zero Gravity" from 40 Below Summer, "End of Disclosure" by Hypocrisy, and Stone Sour's "The House of Gold and Bones Part 2", though I think that Part 1 is significantly better. "13" from Black Sabbath is also way, way better than it has any right to be. It's actually pretty awesome.
I still haven't checked out the new Killswitch Engage or Dark Tranquility albums yet, and probably a few others. There's still some great stuff to come, though.
Defeated Sanity - Passages into Deformity
The Dillinger Escape Plan - One of Us is the Killer
Devourment - Conceived in Sewage
The Black Dahlia Murder - Everblack
Boards of Canada - Tomorrow's Harvest
Yeah...I don't listen to new music much.
I don't keep up with a lot of music, but here's what I enjoyed this year:
I recently listened to Strange Mercy by St. Vincent and really liked it...so that's how late I am with music.
A$AP Rocky - Long Live A$AP...I haven't listened to much music this year, but this album is pretty good.
In no particular order, albums I've found myself listening to dozens of times from start to finish:
Tyler, The Creator - Wolf
Daft Punk - Random Access Memories
How To Destroy Angels - Welcome Oblivion
Kanye West - Yeezus
Moderat - II
Sadistik - Flowers For My Father
Mac Miller - Watching Movies with the Sound Off
Also, stop saying Hesitation Marks when the album hasn't leaked and is over a month out.
(That being said, can't wait for my Deluxe CD!)

@dixego: Surprised anyone even followed any of those links, let alone likes Marnie Stern; really glad to hear you like it!
@crimsonjesus: I'd forgotten about the new Colin Stetson. I've only listened to it once or twice since it came out, but I did really enjoy it both times. I don't know if anything he puts out can ever touch "New History Warfare Vol. 2: Judges" for me though.
Black Pus - All My Relations
Author & Punisher - Women & Children
The Drones - I See Seaweed
Chelsea Wolfe - Pain Is Beauty (upcoming)
Deafheaven - Sunbather
(this space reserved for new HANL or Giles Corey, whichever comes first.)
It only came out last week but the self titled album from Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes is probably already my favourite album of the year.
Bring Me The Horizon - Sempiternal Edit: tbh i have not been keeping up with music and this is really all i have listened too, I really need to find a good website for keeping up with music (GIVE ME SUGGESTIONS PLEASE)
Last.fm ?
I went to the Wednesday show, but didn't spot Rorie. I did, however, spot Adam Sessler. It was super weird!
