People saying First World Problem in threads.
Biggest First World Problem affecting you right NOW!
Every girl that I seem to like in any way (infatuation or not) eventually develops a hatred towards me.
Oh, and this guy who's working on my Steinberger said I'd be able to pick it up by yesterday afternoon and that'd he'd call me when it was ready. Then he said it'd be ready by this morning. It's 2:20 PM right now and he hasn't even called.
I'm making burgers for tonight. I noticed I didn't have any onion soup mix. I had to go to the store.
I have to figure out how to fit my family and my TV and Rock Band gear into my car for a party this afternoon and do so without annoying my fiance.
You both consider getting a new modem? Had similar issues and got to the point where I couldn't stay signed on for more than 2 minutes at a time. Bought a new router and all is well now.@drag said:
i had to reset my router and was without internet for a solid couple of minutes
Bah! My internet drops out at least five times a day and I have to drag my ass all the way downstairs to reset the modem.
Also, my laptop isn't an incredibly powerful gaming PC, which is something I desperately need right now. LOOK AT ALL THE ITALICS IN THIS POST!
Now, I've got to go eat breakfast. Probably going to be some shitty cereal.

I ordered "V for Vendetta" on the internet, and it was supposed to arrive last Saturday. The postal service lost it, and so I didn't receive it until yesterday. Seriously, what the heck? So much wrong with the world...
The comic or the adaptation?
OT: have to go get a job instead of going to college

I did. The old modem and the one before it did it as well. I have tried looking in every nook and cranny (both physically and virtually) I can think of to figure out what the fucking problem is, but no dice. Resets, changes, etc, none of it works. So I've come to the conclusion that it's either on AT&T's end or there's somewhere I haven't looked.
I want dinner, but I don't want to have to cook. Or more accurately, I don't want to have to clean up after I finish cooking.
I'm going back to Firefox until Google can update Chrome so the Back button isn't a worthless piece of shit.

This thread makes me sick. Some of us actually have real problems like, for instance, I don't have a proper mic for my pc so I'm forced to use my built-in webcam mic and it sounds like shit.
YEAH WELL MY MOUSE WHEEL KIND OF STICKS RIGHT NOW
I almost spat Milo all over my monitor.
I've been meaning to sell one of my guitars, but I can't really be bothered so it's just sitting in my closet taking up space.

I was making some Flapjacks because I was bored & after pouring almost all the ingredients into the pan, melting them down the butter, sugar & syrup, I went to add the oats & realised I'd only about half the required amount. So my flapjacks when they come out of the oven in 10 minutes are probably going to be far too sweet & kinda soggy. TERRIBLE
Who makes pancakes in an oven with oats???
Those of us from western Europe

Mind: Blown.
Okay there's my new first world problem, Europeans need to start calling them muesli bars, cause that's TOTALLY NOT OKAY.
I'm actually more surprised I've never heard of this before. Guess I never leave mainland Europe when I visit though. Also I don't eat oats very often.
Did they turn out like shit in the end, or were they edible?
Bought a new 55 inch Plasma TV and it requires specialized component cables...so I bought a new slim 360 solely for the HDMI

Eh, it's edible, but not the nicest. Not crunchy enough, a little too moist. Could have done with some hazelnuts & pecans in there for texture, or maybe choc chips.
And well, I say Europe, I'm British. And we invented this language & so obviously use it better than you colonials ;-)
Now it is not being able to find my DVD of the Paris Opera Ballet performing Swan Lake. Instead I have settled for the Liang Zhu Violin Concerto.
I'm sick so I want to get into bed and read a book until I'm not sick, but I can't afford a new one. I have a shelf filled with books, but I've read them all.

I did tech support for an ISP, and in situations that you are describing we would be setting up a dispatch for a tech to come out and run some tests on the line that would be able to better rule out an Internal Wiring issue better then what you could do on your own. You should also give them a call to run tests on the phone lines themselves to rule out the possibility that it's a short in the phone line outside of your place and not an Internal wiring problem. This is of course assuming you have already tried replacing the modem, which you said you did. Make sure that you are changing the Ethernet cables and that you are not using the old ones when you try different modems. Also, make sure that the phone cord that goes from the wall to the back of your modem isn't longer then 6 feet. If it's any longer it degrades the signal and it can cause problems that you are describing.
If all of that still doesn't fix the problem, then it could be a problem with your network card. If that still doesn't fix the problem, then I have no idea. Let me take down your name and phone number and we will have a Supervisor call you back as soon as one is available. If you wouldn't mind waiting on hold for a moment while I get this set up for... Eh... call centre flashbacks. Sorry.
