I just bought a Nook on ebay. The seller claims it is new in box, so I hope it still has the cellophane on it. I'd hate to have spent more just to get fooled by a lightly used nook. I paid 202.50, which compares pretty well with the 270+ I'd have to pay (with tax) if I bought it in store.

Does anyone have one? Do you dig it? Any complaints? What's the best way to get free books?

Tested.com has covered it, but to be honest, you couldn't pay me to use it over my Kindle.

@GIVEMEREPLAY:  I hear a lot of complaints about the UI and overall feel of the Nook. While I hear it's getting a new firmware update that should make things better, the Kindle offers me responsiveness, ease-of-use, 3G access, and a plethora of cheap books. For the life of me, I can't imagine why I would ever use anything else.

The nook is a great device, one that I've gotten plenty of use out of since its release.  There's been some complaints over the speed at which it refreshes when you "turn" the page, and those complaints were legit, but at this point it performs about on par with the Kindle.  Obviously it seems like the iPad is going to become the frontrunner in the e-book market, so if you're wanting the top-of-the-line standard, you've probably chosen wrong.  Otherwise, it's great and easy to use.  I doubt you'll be disappointed.

I already read books on my iPod touch. It's something I'm trying to get away from.  It's not nearly the same quality as reading on e-ink or a real book.
